Acer Aspire 2920 review

Though it is one of the more affordable 12.1-inch portables in the market, the Aspire 2920 doesn't skimp on features.

Good connectivity options; reasonable performance for the size

Speakers aren't great; no digital video-out

The Aspire 2920 should suit most people who are on a budget and like to stay portable, but still need a bit of grunt. If it had an HDMI port, it'd almost be the perfect solution.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 is an integrated (onboard) graphic chip on a Mobile Intel 965GM chipset. It is the successor of GMA 950 and features a fully programmable pipeline (supports Aero...

It’s the size of the Aspire 2920 that first catches your eye. Measuring in at 304 x 223 x 32mm, it's not exactly a sub-notebook or MacBook Air, but the Acer is certainly on the smaller end of the scale. The 2.04kg weight suggests that the 2920 might...

It's powerful, provided you don't intend to play games

Compact, sufficient power, feels solid, nice screen

Dull colour, wifi can struggle in poor reception areas

"small wonder"

Acer & taiwanese company in general is good in leveraging their sourcing wit VS production cost that they could offer to sell at a lower cost (compared to Lenovo X300..etc), except for HTC who wishes to grab a higher profit margin. if this product...

"Budget Notebook that measures up."

Bought this immediately after returning the Zetta Ten. It connects to internet without any issue at coffeebean and starbucks. Used it whole day for my research and the keys are still intact! This is what I call a budget notebook that gets it right!

2GB Ram, Bright screen, USB locations good

Plasticity feel, Powering up a bit slow
