Acer Travelmate 8441T-6440

The 8481T-6440's keyboard is borrowed from Acer's Aspire Consumer line: big chiclet-style keys that appear as if they're floating off of the foundation. The typing experience isn't nearly as superb as that of the Lenovo X1 and Dell V131, but it'll...

Sleek metallic design. Lightweight. Huge battery lasted 11 hours. USB 3.0 and eSATA interfaces. Excellent navigating experience. Packs 14-inch screen in 13-inch frame

Color selection is a bit mundane

What little the Acer Travelmate 8441T-6440 business laptop gives up in horsepower, it gains back with a sleek, ultrabook-like design (low volt processor requires fewer clunky cooling fans) and over 11 hours of battery life.

Acer TravelMate 8000

Weighing inat 2.8kg the TravelMate 8000 is not only light but also has a very nice sleek design. Its chassis is 331.5 (W) x 280.7 (D) x 33.2 (H) mm which is a very nice size and is easy to carryaround. The good thing about the design is the absence of...

1.8GHz Donathan Processor with Hyper Treading ; Quiet Fans ; Radeon 9700 Mobility ; High Business and Gaming Performance ; Light ; Stylish ; Long 5hr battery ; Nice touch pad and ergonomic keyboard ; Lots of connectivity options

Power plug was very annoying and didn’t work most of the time ; Kept crashing in doom 3 benchmark and wouldn't complete pc mark 04

Acer is a good reliable company thathas been around for years. They listen to their customers and implement consumerwants and fix consumer dislikes in every series of notebook they bring out.The TravelMate is a solid built laptop, light in weight, but...

Great, Great, Vista Laptop

Awesome little Notebook!!

People often say that 1GB is not enough RAM for Vista to run on. I have a different thought on this. First off, of course the more RAM you have with Vista (Or any O/S for that matter) the better, but I have found that 1GB is plenty if you disable and...

The screen is nice and clear, nice keyboard layout, This machine runsnice and smooth. Comes with 1GB unlike some of the other Acer's out there that only come with 512MB

None, this is great for everyday computer users. Like others have said, it is not a gaming machine

Computer Tech for 25 years

Over the years I have purchased thousands of Acer drives, monitors, notebooks and other parts. I will never buy another Acer anything ever again! I suggest you don't either! Toshiba, Here I come!

No complaints with NewEgg. Better service & price than most of my other distributors

Acer is a cheaply built laptop. I have purchased about 80 in the last couple of years. Some from newegg & some from distributors. Vista is slow, undesirable, and has some incompatibilities. Few companies offer other choices of operating systems...

4 eggs for the simple fact of price vs quality and ease of use to get into at entry level lappy... all 3 users are beyond happy with this product and if your looking for a low price and high quality this is the lappy for you ;)

This Lappy is an awesome machine for the starter computer person, Vista makes it easy to operate and with NIS pre-installed (i know its a resource hog) which will help the novice from running into to many issues

Its loaded with Vista, (im an XP lover sorry) and NIS which can be cumbersome esp for an experienced user, (I bought 3 of these for other ppl and helped set them up, and wanted to cry when i was done)

Not a bad laptop

First off DUMP VISTA. add dual channel ddr2 notebook ram (2gigs from here :)) find all windows xp drivers and load xp pro. laptop becomes a really nice machine after this, as you can now use a bigger chunk of ram for video. and xp runs faster than...

Nice screen, sound is good, overall very nice laptop especially for ppl that do normal everyday things. (not a gamer laptop) altho I got the original splinter cell to run on winxp w/2 gigs ram and looks great for older games

touchpad is a bit touchy - will sometimes hinder typing. gets HOT, if running a lot of tasks. Vista with just 1 gig of ram VERY SLOW. No more updates via ACER. Price tag here. I bought this from WALLY-WORLD for $348.00 at christmas time
