Perfect Linux Machine

If you want a good bang for your buck and you are looking for a great computer to run Arch or Manjaro GNU/Linux on THIS IS THE MACHINE TO GET!

I purchased this computer from a small tech shop with the intention of running Linux on it. I was amazed at how fast this machine works. Great for gaming (Steam and WINE), video editing, 3d modeling and anything else I can throw at it. Great battery...

You will need to obtain a WIFI driver for your Linux distribution. Ethernet is supported out of the box

Do not buy

My daughter is off at college. This computer never even made it through the second semester! Turns off suddenly and will not restart. Save your money!

This laptop is awesome.. It will do everything you want it to.. I have played World of Warcraft on it for 6 hrs straight and it runs like a dream.. As long as you have a good utility program to get rid of unwanted stuff this computer runs like a pro.....

Only 1 con and not really because I don't like mouse pads anyway.. mouse pad isn't all that great so you will need a mouse if your going to game on it.. Otherwise mouse pad is fine

Outstanding build quality, fast and beautiful.

The laptop is wider than similar spec'd machines, great key spacing, flat semi-chicklet style yet comfortable keyboard, wide touch pad, minimal bloatware installed, great looking and perfect size, weight and speed for many types of scenarios, buy it if...

The LED display is gorgeous ; The build quality of the screen, outer casing and keyboard is impressive. Very solid and sturdy feel ; Lightweight, enough ; Fast, quad core with ample cache, 6GB DDR3 and a pretty decent graphics processor giving options...

No usb 3.0, doesn't effect me ; No Esata, nice to have but again didn't matter to me..and would only use occasionally ; No Bluetooth, didn't matter to me either ; No egg taken because 2nd day shipping was a waste of money since it didn't ship out til...

More than I expected

This laptop has taken any game I've played on it from Crysis to Borderlands2 and played it well. Everything on medium to high settings. Connecting to 42 inch HD Tv works great. Great inexpensive replacement for my busted gaming machine. Upgraded to 8...

Your My Boy Blue!

Reformatted and added Win 7 Pro. Upgraded to 8 gigs of Ram and it will support G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) even though some said would not work with Mushkin Memory. Now it has some pep to it! Over all its a great...

Great Laptop for the price cant complain especially for under 400. Has a great AMD processor with plenty of Kick

Bloatware, slow HD, and 4 gigs of ram

Great Laptop

Absolutely stellar performance from a laptop less than $400! The AMD APU is fast, and allows my kids to play their games. The Office Starter package that is included works great as well, and is not a "trial version". This thing has been rock solid from...

Great deal, very nice all around laptop

All in all a great laptop for the money! I paid $379 with free shipping, which is a great deal for what I got. My friend bought a similar model a year ago, and it's still going strong. She uses it as a primary computer, leaves it on and plugged in 24/7...

Great battery life ; Runs cool thanks to apu technology ; Fast response, hard to over-tax this thing ; Speakers sound good ; webcam is good ; Hard drive is not fast but sufficient enough for my needs

I'm not a fan of the screen viewing angles, the lcd looks washed out too easily ; The keyboard keys seem a little flimsy ; The video graphics could be better ; The unit is a little heavy ; Bloatware, but that is easily remedied

Best specs under $400.

I've had this for almost a month and I'm very impressed. It's fast, smooth and just works at a level above it's price. Had a chance to play Sims 3 on it and it handled it very well on high settings. I use this and my Xbox for all of my TV, The HDMI out...

Good Processor and all around good specs for the money ; Keyboard is not as bad as some make it out to be ; Did I mention it's under $400 ; Good sound compared to some laptops ; APU is better than anything Intel is offering in this price range or even...

Touchpad is annoying in many ways, just use a wireless mouse ; Acer Customer Service, lets just say hard to follow ; Could use more indicator lights, like for caps lock(does have option to make a sound when you hit caps.) ; Camera not as good as I...
