Acer Aspire AS5732Z-4234

The Acer Aspire AS5732Z-4234 ($529 list) is a like a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers. A solid, yet inexpensive pair that are just fine to get your from here to there, but are obviously not the first choice of your NBA player. The 5732Z is a...

Low price. Solid construction

Not many ports. Not the most powerful processor

If you are on the fence between buying a cheap netbook and a full size laptop, the Acer Aspire AS5732Z-4234 might push you back toward the big boys.

Acer Aspire 5732Z-443G32Mn review

This is one laptop that has it all – power, portability and performance

Great power ; Generous storage ; Good networking options ; Build quality

Limited in ports ; Graphics grunt

Although this machine was never going to win any awards for graphics performance, there is more than enough power available for your day-to-day computing needs

Acer Aspire 5732Z

A great moderately priced laptop that features some great features yet lacks in certain areas for future proofing this almost perfect laptop such as the exclusion of a HDMI port.

Spectacular value for money, Easy to use and full sized keyboard

2 USB ports

Acer Aspire 5732Z 443G50Mn

The 15.6” inch Aspire 5732Z boasts a classy design with everything you need to fit into your mobile lifestyle, including completing those all important daily tasks and keeping you entertained on the go.

Spectacular value for money and a great, easy to use and full sized keyboard

The lack of an S-Video and HDMI port is a big let down in this constantly evolving modern age and only 2 USB ports is certainly not a benefit

A great moderately priced laptop that features some great features yet lacks in certain areas for future proofing this almost perfect laptop such as the exclusion of a HDMI port.

Acer Aspire AS5732Z

I would purchase this laptop again if the audio was updated and hard drive was larger,at least a 500 gig......

I purchased this laptop to use as a monitor out in the feild while shooting digital pictures.I use a Epson 1280 printer to print my pictures.I like this laptop it is simple to use.The monitor shows great detail in my pictures

My cons are its abit heavy, fingerprints shown on the slightist touch. The biggest gripe I have is sound of speakers, there was something left out at the factory. The volume is very low and it just needs a serious speaker upgrade

Pretty Good Machine

Battery life started at a little over 3 hours and is now at about 2h50m after 6 months of use. It can sleep for days in standby. You'd think that only 2 USB ports would be limiting. I thought so too, but it has never turned out to be an issue in the...

Attractively built and lightweight. Quiet; barely runs the fans at all. Reliable so far (6 months owned) ; The comparatively large amount of RAM is my favorite feature about this machine; very little these days is CPU-bound. Combined with respectable...

The lid's glossy back side is prone to scratching ; This is not a gaming machine; its graphics chipset is kind of weak. While it is fine for HD videos, you will probably not have great results trying to play current AAA titles

Good College Laptop

For what I paid, this is a laptop with a lot of great features and a decent amount of power under the hood. If you can get past the touch pad and low-quality speakers, I'd highly recommend this laptop for college students that need a computer with...

4GB of RAM give this thing a lot of power and performance. Runs all my applications smoothly and has no problems with multi-tasking. Love the full keyboard, and the number pad. Windows 7 home premium was a plus, considering my last laptop had Vista...

The touch pad on this thing is a little bit faulty, and has a tendency to sometimes not respond at all, or click on something when you only mean to move the cursor. Somewhat frustrating ; The free trial of McAffee on this thing ended in 2009, while I...

Better than Lenovo

For the prices, they are fine for college students. I personally have a MacBook Pro so using the PC laptops took a bit getting used to. But I would go with Acer over Lenovo for look and feel.

I got this for $430 and the Lenovo G550(29583RU) for $450 for two high school graduates being used abroad. I tested both out before giving them away. I liked the keyboard better on the Acer and the screen/webcam resolution. The keyboard on the Lenovo...

Great Acer, Great Price

Great price (as always from NEW EGG), fast shipping with detailed updates. Everything worked and came how expected. Awesome return policy (haven't used-another pro). Good offer and price for extended warranty (purchased). Easy to use and product works...

None for NewEgg. For the laptop don't care for the mouse pad. It is fickle and sometimes the mouse moves where I don't intend. With it being off-centered, a bit challenging to transition from keyboard to mouse as with traditionally center-placed laptop
