acer aspire 5741

i use my computer for school, and personal use. i like how it has good graphics and works well with every program that i have. i have not had any issues with that called for me to trouble shoot any problems. the only problem is, is the battery and the fan.. the battery won't hold a complete charge. it only charges to about 30% and stops charging, even though it says its still charging. even if i shut the computer off and leave it plugged in over night, it wont fully charge. and the fan inside the computer started to get really loud. when im video chatting with some friends, it sounds like a war bomb falling from the sky on their end. or some sort of loud siren. i do recommend this product, because it's fast and it's easy to use for people who don't really know much about computers

Review Acer Aspire 5741G-334G50Mn Notebook

All-rounder at your fingertips. Is an aesthetic overhaul enough t

Touchpad and keyboard; TFT has good brightness; Good performance in various applications; Low exhaust heat; Low power consumption

Short battery life; TFT does not have a matte finish; Low contrast

Toshiba Satellite L550-207: for a measly 60 Euro more this 17.3 inch model packs measurably better graphics power. Packard Bell Easynote TJ75: the same also goes here, where more GPU power in a 15.6 inch format can be had for a few more bucks. Acer...

Acer Aspire 5741G-6983

The Acer Aspire 5741G-6983 is a tweener in the best sense of the word: It fits right between a great mainstream unit and a powerful gaming laptop. It has good input ergonomics, a nice 15.6-inch, 1366-by-768-pixel display, great everyday performance,...

Fast and stylish ; Great gaming frame rates

A bit pricey for a mainstream laptop ; Ethernet port is inconveniently located

A great all-purpose unit with superior gaming potential.

Acer Aspire AS5741-6073

The matte black keyboard is comfortable and easy to use for touch typists, but the key design strikes us as odd. The keys are wafer thin and sit raised above the bottom of the keyboard with a gap between each key. I have two worries about this design:...

Core i5 processor at an attractive price. Strong performance. Long-lasting battery. Relatively lightweight

Design looks dated. Keyboard design makes it a magnet for dirt and dust

It won't turn heads at Starbucks, but the Acer Aspire AS5741-6073 impresses with strong application performance and lengthy battery life.

Acer Aspire 5741Z-5433

You might be able to afford this Acer Aspire, but its limited features and slow multitasking may make you wish you'd spent a little more.

Outstanding keyboard and touch pad; budget-friendly price; bright, crisp display; great video performance and quality

Bundled security software kills network connectivity; poky performance; barely responsive when multitasking; sluggish even when performing singular tasks

Despite the 5741Z's decent performance on our CPU benchmarks, lousy real-world performance and nagging, preinstalled network slayer, not to mention overall weak specs, this system's low price alone isn't enough for us to recommend it. There isn't...

Great Laptop

I prefer Intel chips, and this comes with Intel Core i5. It also has Windows 7, 4 GB memory and a 500 GB HDD. Sound is acceptable, as I generally do not listen to music on it. Picture quality is great. And, it is much lighter than my last laptop.

Powerful Laptop, poorly build

Other than my own problems, the Laptop is great. I would definetly recommend buying it if you see it here or some other market.

Very powerful laptop, especially for the cost. Completely happy with what it can do. Great for the power user and gamer, can handle almost all games out on the market. Crysis at low settings

When I first opened the laptop, the wireless would not work unless it was plugged into the AC outlet. Some shoddy power distribution on the batteries part I believe ; Recently, my hard drive failed so I have had to send it in for repairs ; This seems...

It is a keeper

As fast as the Dell Inspiron I bought a year ago, cost $400 less. The Dell has a core 2 duo, this one has a core 3. Would recommend this Acer to anyone.

Just got this laptop today, ordered on Monday evening, delivered Thursday afternoon. My second Acer laptop, with a Dell sanwiched between the two Acers. Exceptional laptop for the money, I am very pleased. Up and running on wifi within minutes of...
