Big budget laptop with build quality; the features Acer leaves out are features not everyone needs in a budget laptop; with a good CPU and screen and lashings of storage, the Aspire is basic done right.

Acer Aspire 5749 review

Keeping up with Acer is some task. The Taiwanese company has come of age and is now one of the laptop manufacturers to be reckoned with. Its Aspire 5749 is another fine example of advanced features in a budget package.

The Acer Aspire 5749 offers an interesting design, a good screen and relatively swift performance for a very reasonable price. It won't tackle the more hardcore of tasks, but it's a great choice for general computing on a budget.
