Pretty Good Deal

 

Contrary to other's experiences, Linux works beautifully for me. Kubuntu works well with the harddrive, DVD burner, wireless chipset, display, etc. I have not tested the modem. Again, with the money you save on the notebook, buy an extra 512MB of ram -...

Nice, wide display. Keyboard is nearly full-sized - with numeric keypad. Plenty of USB ports. Good price

Harddrive can be slow - I found that upgrading the ram to 1GB solved this. The trackpad is easy to hit with the side of your hand while typing, but I guess that's a laptop problem in general

Spend a few more $$ and buy other brands.

17" WXGA+ Clear and bright. Cheap

Very poor, Flimsy DVD +/- R/RW Drive.It Dead after one used to back up software. Overall build quality is also poor compare to others
