Acer Aspire 7520-5115 Laptop

For users who don't demand high-end performance and cutting-edge multimedia, the big, desktop-friendly Acer Aspire 7520-5115 offers considerable bang for the buck.

Low price; big, beautiful screen; discrete graphics card; built-in Webcam; DVI and FireWire ports

Disappointing performance; scroll strip not marked on touch pad; some users might prefer HDMI port to DVI; weak Webcam software; no configuration options

Double your display real estate by adding a second monitor. It's a snap: Here's how

Great laptop for the money. Gave it as a present to girlfriend. Lets say i had a good night. The picture is crystal clear. Speed is pretty good with only 2 gig of ram. 4 USB ports is a plus

Trying to explain wireless to girlfriend. One more gig of ram

Price. I have only hear good things about Acer and I see why. Great product for the price. After seeing this laptop my dad is going to buy one. I love Vista, but wish it did not use up some much memory. It takes a little bit to get use to, but Vista is...

Runs hot. Touch pad is a little sensitive. You need to go into the Control Panel - Mouse Properties - Tapping - and click "Tap off when typing" This helps a lot. Some software included is not needed. Remove Norton right away...Don't install the free...

Despite the cons, this laptop can't be beat for the price. It has great specs, and while a similarly price HP laptop might have snazzier features (like remote control), this laptop has a dedicated video card, which means better overall performance....

Great laptop, esp for the price

Vista (if this were intended for gaming, I'd replace with XP), and the keyboard, while being *almost* full-size, isn't. You have to relearn the key placement to use keys that you would normally find above the arrow keys (home, pg dn, pg up, etc) ; If...

Vista wiped = Good PC

Not to Shabby of a Laptop. Manufacturers & Microsoft need to realize that new software doesn't mix with last gen hardware. This PC was obviously built with XP in mind (why else would xp drivers be so easy to find?), doesn't have a powerful graphics...

Pretty good Laptop, able to play SC Chaos Theory, UT 2004 and the like. Keyboard has numberpad, Good size hard drive & memory for the price. Also, lighter than expected, considering the size

It really can't handle vista. A lot of bloatware (doesn't matter if you install xp), and keyboard layout needs time to get use to. I also would have liked a 1600 x 1050 resolution, but the 1440 is sufficient
