Review Acer Aspire 7750G Notebook

Mobile gaming. Mobile gaming. Performance like a DTR, yet battery

Good 3D performance; Strong battery life for 17 inches; High application performance; Low system noise; Low power consumption

Few interfaces & unfavorable positioning; Coiling keyboard; Comparatively slow HDD; Narrow viewing angles; Long battery charging time (4:15h)

Four RAM slots and an unoccupied HDD slot. That lets notebook tuners' hearts beat faster.

AMD Graphics

It also seems I never got any sort of documentation (manual, warranty, etc.) All it came with was that small Passport booklet... Was NOT a truly dedicated 2 GB card, although that would have made the price $600-$700 more... Would've reset it to factory...

The Good: It looked great for a 17' laptop, had all the specs I was looking for... Initially, I thought I had made the best purchase in my life. Sound was great, very advanced audio. Also didn't wait too long for my package to arrive

The Bad: The AMD Switchable Graphics inside wasn't what I expected when the specs told me it had a 2 GB vid card in there, I did research on it before the package arrived and found out that's what came with it... (seems to be the standard with laptops...

Very nice machine!

This is a very nice, mid-level machine. It has a solid video card, expandable RAM, and very solid construction

Switchable graphics is a royal pain, that's about all

Switchable Graphic Drivers/Bios Suck!

Worth the price. The bloatware that others are complaining about is not bad at all.

Fast, great price, nice screen, and quiet

Switchable graphics sucks big time, If I could return this laptop without a penalty, for a non switchable graphic one I would. I wish there was an option in the bios to disable the Intel graphic card in the bios. I updated to the latest bios as well,...

Great deal.

Great graphics card for the price. Plays Dead Space 2 and Borderlands on high right out of the box, and that's all I could ask for

The switchable graphics was annoying at first but I suppose it has its uses ; I've accidentally hit the power button multiple times while moving the laptop. Just a minor nuisance

As reviewed!

For the price , its perfect. Great performance and all around great laptop

Keyboard lacks tactile feel. Mousepad buttons have weak click feel, speakers aren't too loud

NEWEGG did a great job handling my order and it arrived when it said it would. This machine is an excellent value for any student who is on a budget and needs a laptop that can handle high end rendering. I researched quite a few machines and this one...

Fast start-up, good trip resistant charging cord, big responsive keyboard, nice touch-pad features, solid graphic and processor speed, and a nice big bright screen. I'm using laptop as a CAD platform, and have had no trouble loading or running AutoCAD...

preloaded factory windows 7 has a ton of useless software. With my knowledge level I was unable to reload windows without it using the factory settings so I had to spend an evening uninstalling about a dozen acer programs

Great Laptop at a Reasonable Price

Great for a entry level gaming laptop, can't beat the price for the performance.

Nice bright, clear screen ; Decent video card, plays SW:TOR at an average of 50-60fps on normal settings. On low settings is almost constant 60fps. Automatic switchable graphics so it won't drain your battery when not playing games ; Comfortable...

About the only gripe I have is the listing saying that the RAM was on one slot, but thanks to JD's review, I knew ahead of time & ordered 8GB for $40 more. Not enough to drop it in rating, but it's definitely something people need to be aware of

Good entry level laptop

I've had the laptop for about two weeks now, and I've been messing around with it off and on. It seems to run everything except the games with lightning speeds and without any problems. I've upgraded the ram from 4 to 8 gb. I can't seem to get the...

Fast and Responsive ; Great Display ; Awesome Specs on paper ; Good gaming speeds

Not many BIOS options ; Can't seem to get my graphics settings right ; Only 4gb of Ram (easily upgraded) ; 5400RPM hard drive speed ; No Backup CD in my box? I have to order it? -1 Egg ; Autodesk Maya keeps giving me a module error (but that's probably...

Hole-y Hann-ah!

RAM being in two sticks. I made the same mistake with one of my first ever computer purchases, thinking the RAM would be in one slot. Every single computer (probably going on 25-30, 10 of them HP) I have opened since then has always came with 2 sticks...

I agree with pretty much all of these reviews so I will try not to duplicate what they have said just add a lil more info for the games I have played on it so far, since it seems to be a pretty nice, cheap, gaming laptop. You will find some parts of...

The dedicated card seems to ship with the integrated card's driver. Exact same date and version number anyways ; Intentionally making the back panel to prevent anyone from actually using the other hard drive port. Why put extra money into designing &...
