2 GB DDR3 RAM, Linux, 15.6 inch screen and Intel Core i3 (1st Generation) processor

Lacks Bluetooth and fire wire

Acer Aspire AS 5733 purely offers features that work great for multitasking and on-the-go entertainment, but the overall performance is not as par the current competition in the market.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Good price, but not built to last.

If it didn't overheat, this would have been easily a five-star product. The normal asking price was high, but I got it while it was on sale.

It's very good on price, and the i3 CPU was an excellent selling point at the time. (This review is written a year or so in retrospect of receiving this item as a gift.) ; For the first six months of ownership it seemed to tackle pretty much any web...

I think something might be wrong with the cooling system or processor, because it started to make a whining noise within a matter of six months. Even though you can feel hot air leaving the machine, it gets ridiculously hot during simple internet...

Great budget Laptop

Would I use this for gaming or computer graphic design "Hell No" but for surfing the web or word processing this is a great little machine that gets the job done without a hick-up.

Great battery Life, lots of HDD space for movies and music, decent computing speeds

nothing so far

Great laptop for affordable price

Glad I bought it before it was off the market. Lightweight for its size, somewhat thin, with a full keyboard. Faster than expected for a 1st gen i3 core processor. Bought a 4GB memory to upgrade the RAM from to 8GB and works great so far. I thought it...

The build of the laptop itself looks mostly out of plastic material (but this also contributes to it's lightweight feel). It beeps whenever you plug in the laptop charger. Would have liked a dedicated graphics card and an HDMI port

Great Deal

For less than $400 you can't beat this laptop and shipping time. Ordered on a Wednesday, received it on Friday ; This machine performs flawlessly on standard web surfing and the Core i3 handles programs like Photoshop with no problem ; Upgraded the RAM...

Unfortunately, Acer thinks that people need an annoying beeping sound to remind them when their power cord gets unplugged... sound is not as bad as other models, but still very unnecessary. Not the easiest thing to disable

Reliable pc

This laptop has been used every day for about a year now and we haven't had one issue with it. graphics are integrated so no high end gaming but that's typically a given for most laptops. Still running great.

reliable, cheap. Plenty of memory out of the box, very little bloatware. very little heat output

build a bit cheap but you get what you pay for

Great budget Laptop

Acer makes a good machine. I have sold a couple of dozen in the last 2 years with no problems reported. The two units that had problems were customer caused.

My customer is very pleased with her purchase. She loves the features and the performance is better than expected

None so far

Excellent Laptop

This is a great laptop to begin with. Full sized keyboard (may not matter to some), good screen res. I swapped out the hard drive with an SSD and it boots to the Win7 login screen in 22 seconds. There is very little wait time for anything I do on it

No lights to idicate caps or num lock state. I discovered that if I want this I have to install the acer launch app that came with the original build. No biggie though
