Excellent Laptop for just everyday use.

I paid 379.99 plus a 1 year extended warranty from newegg. Best value I've gotten out of a laptop this cheap. I've used many other laptops that were way more expensive that were so much of a hassle. From day one, me and this laptop just fell into a...

This is a very reliable machine. It never fusses and gets the job done. There hasn't been anything I couldn't run, deal with and handle with this machine. I gotta give acer some credit. This machine gets the job done and does it without giving you a...

I really have no cons, maybe a better sound card... But other than that? I have no qualms with this machine. Great Laptop for under $400 bucks

HDD failure

Acer customer service sucks, warranty terms suck, hardware sucks.

This is a decent machine for the price paid. Nice weight and feel. Good performance. No problems, until a hdd failure

Hard drive failure a month before my warranty comes up. I call customer service and they tell me my warranty expired 9/09/2011. I'm looking at my newegg invoice that says I ordered on 10/11/2011. Their warranty mentions it pays for mailing, but only...

Seemed good, until LCD quit on me

After a few weeks the LCD just died out on me. Boots up fine, power lights work, optical drive spins up, but nothing on screen at all. I held power button down for minute to discharge(per some research I've done) -- didn't work. I've completely...

Good looks, good specs for the price. I'd read the reviews, had another Acer in the past, so was looking forward to good value on this one

LCD quit on me. See below for more details

Power Problem

I didn't bother trying to get this repaired under warranty. However, the repair is more most would be willing to attempt.

Great for moderate home use

The internal power plug is held in place with a weak adhesive causing it to come loose after a few months. Rendering it unable to charge the battery or run on AC ; In order to fix this you have to remove the motherboard to get to the plug, then you can...

it's ok

64 bit and fast

there is no mouse stick in the keyboard, and the touch pad is a tuff on responsiveness. the power button is on the top left the the keyboard, so when picking it up or moving it you'll often turn it off just by tapping that. the screen is really flimsy,...

Buff's Review

Lightweight, durable, love that new smell out of the box ; Sweet speakers and config its dolby digital ; Good RAM speed even though I already have 8 gb and put that in ; Flawless display, Intel graphics and processor ; So far no problems and just got...

Lots more bloatware than I expected, but it can be easily removed

Great little laptop

May be a bit heavy to carry around for some people but I've never had any problem.

Great cheaper system for college students and the like. I bought it just for this reason as a computer science major so that I could carry it around campus and have easy access to work on my projects while not at home

Not a very good graphics card nor a great processor, wont be able to play many games and definitely not the high tech ones. If you want a system for gaming, this isn't for you

Great for the Price

I like the keyboard with the raised keys and how light this notebook is. Not going to replace my desktop at home but for media/web this is a great little rig.

Price. I bought this computer for my wife to use at work. She uses it for email, web surfing, her online Point of Sale system and some media streaming. Very happy with the hardware and the screen was larger than I expected. I did opt for 4 for gigs of ram

Bloatware. I know you can't get away from this but I still really hate it

Does what it needs to do

Cheap ; Dual core Intel (my first ever intel. I'm an AMD guy but they suck with mobile processors)

Bloated windows of course. Immediately took care of that ; Barely runs minecraft. Who cares though that is why I have a desktop
