i have reinstalling OS for this laptop several times with drivers from acer backup, online update at acer, nvidia, microsoft and other sites but nothing working yet. i think it is nvidia problem that they don't have decent driver.

i just bought this acer 7739g on june 23, 12. it has nice large 17inch screen. newegg did a good job with shiping

i bought this laptop specifically to play some of my old fav games like Sims. the nvidia graphic is so bad. worst, the driver updates at Acer or Nvidia is a joke. i have try the several other places but no prevail yet. i still have the problem of...

Descent Laptop for price

It was purchased to replace the Presidents laptop. I could have gone high-end but this laptop had everything he needed at a reasonable price. Just remember, "No one ever gets fired for ordering IBM". I've always had good experiences with Acer, I hope...

I like it, it's very light, extremely big. It has a glossy screen, user friendly touch pad and keyboard. Overall a good buy for the price

Feels a bit cheap. Bloatware... I don't care for bloatware too much, but it was pretty easy to un-install the stuff I didn't need or want. It didn't seem much faster than another laptop I just purchased having the new AMD processor(Which was cheaper),...

Decent budget gaming laptop

The price and decent specs are what sold me and I can see this laptop running all my games for at least the foreseeable future.

People who say this isn’t a gaming laptop are clueless and need to understand that you don’t have to run games in MAX graphical settings to make them enjoyable. Now I haven’t tried Skyrim on this laptop yet but I’ve been playing Deus Ex HR in...

Having said all that this isn’t the most powerful laptop for gaming but it’s also not going to set you back $1,500. It also gets a little hot but that's what laptop coolers are for

so so laptop

good laptop to use if you do Facebook, email, watch a little Netflix( if you don't mind the color being off some). good for office programs. This laptop is a NO-GO for a Gamer or Photographer

big screen ; enough memory for laptop ; enough storage space for laptop ; good for general computing

video card slow ; no updated video drivers ; screen colors way off and impossible to get right ; not a gaming laptop at all nor for any graphics intense programs. i.e. Photoshop or graphics at all for that matter

Acer AS7739G-6676

This is a decent laptop in general for the casual user. I wanted a laptop with dedicated graphics card specifically so I wasn't losing system memory to integrated graphics, and this laptop does not meet that requirement.

Screen is decent, access to upgrade drives and RAM is easy

The claim that this laptop features a dedicated GPU is a bit deceptive. The i5 480M CPU has integrated Intel HD graphics which cannot be disabled and is used for non-3D screen drawing. The NVidia dedicated card only kicks in when a 3D application runs,...

Great Deal

This is a perfect laptop for a student or non-gamer. Of course, it didnt cost 2 grand like a gaming laptop either.

Great price, good hardware. Very cool looking finish on it

Typical bloatware installed. Haven't come across any other problems yet

Two Defective Laptops Received

After receiving two defective items I opted to get a refund and choose a different brand.

Would have been a decent laptop had it worked properly

The first one I received had dad pixels. The second one had vertical lines and a flicker on the screen

Best bang for the buck

Speed,Power, dual video cards, power efficiency But it is an athros packet injecting wireless card toss in a ssd and you will not be disappointed N82E16820233191 ; ssd

no blue ray drive, slow standard 5.400rpm drive. uses only 1 wifi wire for wireless so not the best wifi card
