Not for Skype users

If you are a SKYPE user, definitely Stay Away. The microphone is horrible. Google acer 7741G and Microphone problems and "it shows up like a bad rash, all over the place". Otherwise, it's ok.

The Acer Aspire is an excellent choice for ? you need

Overall for me is what I need for all my duties that are continous. during maybe 10-12 hours a day.

Obviously I went imediately for the 8GB Upgrade, so the flow of every application plus the I5- dual Core is incredible. The flexibility it gives you its magnificent. While running the Win 8 , although is just a developer version, you could see there's an

Very few, sometimes the TFT display its a little fussy on son characters. but it is minimal. The heat dispersion is could be better. The battery life I understand is not of the best, but I will look for a better replacement

Works fine for me!

I would like a bit more speed and have had some "low memory" problems, which I don't understand. But it's reliable, has enough external ports to increase basic functionality and the built-in video/microphone means I can quit wearing earphones! I will...

I actually LIKE the keyboard over my HP Pavilion. It's responsive for a dual core, having a 1gb video card is a definite plus for me as I do graphics work. I had a 17" screen before and like this one! Colors are bright with the backlit LED

Very Good Laptop

All I can say is this laptop does everything it says it does. It has and does most everything and for an awesome price. Big screen and is quick from program to program. I have had no problems with overheating and the screen can be adjusted so that it...

My friend seems to like it

I got this for a friend from Germany a while back, he has been able to play games like minecraft and skyrim quite well. It seems like a good laptop.

After ten months use, I still really like this laptop.

The speaker audio is really too low to hear in a noisy room but I haven't had any other complaints. Fast machine handles all I've required of it, even 3d rendering. Not a gamer to say how well it would do there. The 17.3" screen is beautifully bright...

Decent Laptop.

I have this laptop, took a little bit to break it in. I've had this computer for 3 years, dropped it in the street while it was snowing and cracked both the top corners and it still runs like brand new. Overheated it one night for a stress test, and...

Love my Acer!

I've had this laptop for over 8 months and I absolutely love it! The battery life is fairly short (even with the brightness turned very low) but I very rarely need to use it where a power outlet is not available. The keyboard is the best I've ever used...
