Acer Aspire E1-510P-2671

Available for less than $500, the Acer Aspire E1-510P is a solid budget Windows 8.1 notebook with a touch screen.

Good battery life; Inexpensive; Touch screen

Weak performance; Dim screen

For less than $500, the Acer E1-510P-267 is capable touch-screen Windows 8 laptop for everyday tasks, and it has enough battery life to last several hours unplugged. Yes, it's not the most attractive notebook, and its graphics performance could be...

Acer Aspire E1-510P-2671

The Acer Aspire E1-510P-2671 offers a touch-capable budget laptop with great battery life that won't leave you broke.

Touch screen. Solid construction. Relatively large 500GB hard drive. Long-lasting battery

Bland design. Middle-of-the-road processing power. Lower-resolution display

For the budget-conscious shopper for whom laptops with all the latest bells and whistles may be too expensive, a functional system can be had for much less, with premium features trickling down after a few months. Case in point: The Acer Aspire...

update previous review

This is a UEFI BIOS with a very simple interface. We had to update our BIOS (from Acer) to get backwards compatibility for legacy BIOS. Like all modern Windows products (UEFI), there is no sticker with a Windows 8 product key on it. The Windows product...

decent laptop for my wife - surfing web, email, and office productivity, It is quiet. The air flow system seems well designed - not much heat or fan noise ; BUT know what you are getting. NO OPTICAL drive, limited UEFI BIOS

The second RAM slot is integrated into the PCB, but there is no bracket, so you can't install a second RAM module. I spoke to Acer support about this and basically they said 'tough luck' - buy an 8 gig single RAM module. NOT satisfactory

Quad core is slow

I guess that you get what you pay for in computer parts, so if you are willing to buy an external dvd drive too, then I still think this is worth it for the price and relatively slow speed.

Great price for a quad core

NO DVD drive, which I did not notice in the description, so my fault. But I verified that this. machine is a quad core, but I have an 1.7gh i5 that runs faster, which is a dual core

Good laptop for the price

It's a very good laptop for the price and I'm sure that with a little bit of care, it will last a few years.

I got this for my brother because his old Gateway (A three year old Intel i3) was falling apart. The main reason I chose this one is because of the quad-core Pentium. So far it seems to be doing very well. It performs as well as if not better than the...

There are only three problems I have with this laptop. The first is the way the monitor is attached to the laptop. It looks like it's designed to fail just as it did on the old Gateway. The second is how flimsy it is. I know this is how they make it...

Was not happy with the product

I do not recommend this laptop. When I first received it, it ran slow and it broke. I did recieve the product extremely fast which is good. But the quality of the product is terrible. The reviews did not meet the requirements I thought of. If you want...

I'm on a super tight budget and this worked so well for that. I like windows 8 and the ability to switch from the new start screen back to the original desktop. I'm a high school student and it gets the job done when I need it plus everything else!...

Great Value

Despite the photos on this page showing a sleek aluminum look with Chiclet-style keys. The interior of the laptop chassis is in fact glossy black and the keyboard is standard touching squares. (image of actual keyboard included in post)This is a minor...
