Great laptop for the price

 

I can't freaking believe it doesn't have a DVD player! !!#$#$%!!!! Just kidding, all you have to do is read the specs to know it doesn't come with one, not too hard. I actually like it better due to being able to make the laptop much more compact and...

Fast for a $380 laptop. I can play 1080p videos no problem and even play 720p vidoes at 60fps using SVP manager, so the CPU power is impressive ; Also, this chip has the Clear Video technology, making it great as a steam box (in game streaming) to play...

Unfortunately, it does have to lose an egg for this, but Windows 8.1 is practically impossible to install - it seems to be an Acer problem. I guess that's why they ship it with only 8, I finally gave up after 4 or 5 hours of google-foo and msconfig...

Fast and nice i3 processor

NO DVD DRIVE! I can't believe this notebook has no internal dvd drive. I also can't believe it is not advertised as such. I should have noticed it but just figured it had one. Not mentioned in the specs. Probably will send back

Generally good for internet and essays, has become slower over time. Often powers off at 10% battery without warning, it does however save whatever you are doing until powered back up.

The keyboard is not flush and has damaged the centre of the screen. I tried to return due to this annoying fault and was informed by store that as it is "cosmetic" they will not replace.
