Acer Aspire One D260-1270

Thanks to a few above average specs, like a 320GB hard drive and a long lasting battery, the Acer Aspire One D260-1270 stands out among a crowd of look-alike netbooks.

Dual core processor. 320GB hard drive. 2GB RAM. 9-hour battery life.

Small keyboard. Bloatware.

Acer Aspire One D260 (Dual-Core)

Acer's newest dual-core netbook has style and beefed-up specs to run Windows 7 Premium.

These days, netbook makers have to offer something special in order to justify a price above $300. Between the 2GB of RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium, and a decent keyboard and touchpad combo, the Acer Aspire One D260 does just that. Still, we give a...

Acer Aspire One D260 (1270)

Acer was among the first companies to bring a dual-core Atom netbook to market for a price meant to trounce the competition. Though the Aspire One D255 offered an impressive design, pretty good performance, and a low $329 price, a wonky touchpad and...

Acer Aspire One D260

Fashionistas will love this svelte netbook for its runway qualities, but short battery life will keep power users away.

Thinner and lighter than most netbooks ; Attractive design ; Large touchpad for a netbook ; Runs cool ; Good audio quality

Sluggish performance ; Mediocre streaming video quality ; Short battery life

We weren't impressed with the 1.3-megapixel webcam. Even with backlight correction set to its highest level, the images it captured were dark and didn't represent colors well. While chatting with a friend on Skype they reported that we looked blocky...

Acer Aspire One D260-23797 review

The Aspire One line of Netbooks has long been a bright spot in Acer's laptop lineup, thanks to the company's firm commitment to rock-bottom prices and decent, if unexciting, design and construction. The latest version, called the Acer Aspire One...

Small, thin design; large keyboard and touch pad.

Merely average battery life; occasional sluggishness.

Acer's Aspire D260 is slim and lightweight, even for a Netbook, but its slightly faster processor doesn't lead to better performance.

Acer Aspire One D260 Review

Acer prioritized looks and portability above longevity in the D260, but this netbook manages to be charming even with its below-average battery life. Its $299 price is equally attractive, but for the same amount you could scoop up the ASUS Eee PC...

Acer Aspire One AOD260-1270 Review and Ratings

The AOD260 is a well-balanced dual-core netbook with a touch more pep than most and a striking LED screen. Despite the performance boost, also consider Acer's similar Aspire One D255, which sells for $50 less.

Dual-core processor ; Eye-pleasing LED-backlit display ; Slightly above-average performance for a netbook

Cramped keyboard ; So-so speakers ; Subpar Webcam

The AOD260 comes with Acer's one-year international traveler's limited warranty. That simply means you can get service in any country in which Acer has a repair facility. The company also offers a two-year extended warranty for $99, as well as a...

Acer Aspire One D260 review – an affordable netbook you would love

I can say I'm not a big fan of Acer laptops, mainly because I consider them entry level devices, more focused on budget than on features and build quality. However, I do have to admit that I was surprised...

I never thought I would get to appreciate an Acer mini laptop, but the Aspire One D260 really proved me Acer netbooks evolved a lot in these last years. In fact, with products like these, there's no wonder they are the best selling brand in this segment.

Acer Aspire One D260

Ranking among the world's top five PC vendors, Acer won't let consumers down with the Acer Aspire One D260. This computing device isn't anything fancy but it has improved greatly from its predecessor, the Acer Aspire One D250. With enhanced...

This highly portable device offers a multi-in-1 card reader which supports numerous card formats. The memory on the D260 isn't anything extraordinary as it offers 1GB of RAM and 250GB on the hard drive. This is the amount of memory you will find on...

Acer Aspire One D260: If 3G is All You Really Want

Acer has been making netbooks long enough to know what the users of today are really looking for. With internet dongles available with most service providers and with 3G materializing slowly, connectivity can easily be termed as an important...

At a price of Rs. 17,999 (MOP) or 19,999 (MRP) the Aspire One D260 feels overpriced. In terms of performance, there's nothing that this netbook does which the Toshiba NB520 cannot do better. Agreed that 3G compatibility is a neat feature, but for now...
