Review Acer Aspire R7-571G-53338G75ass Convertible

Different by design. The Acer Aspire R7-571G does not follow classic notebook design guidelines. Thanks to the Ezel hinge, the notebook supports display positions that no other design is capable of offering. How the solution works on a day-to-day basis...

IPS display ; Speakers ; Touchscreen ; Ezel hinge ; Performance ; Accessories

WLAN connection ; Keyboard (space bar) ; Missing palm rest

The very useful and well-designed Ezel hinge

Acer Aspire R7 Hands On Review

Earlier this morning, one of the stars of Acer's global presentation which took place in New York City was the Aspire R7. Acer called the Aspire R7 its notebook hybrid which not only re-imagines the layout of its keyboard and […]

The Acer Aspire R7 will be made available on May14 for a yet-to-be-announced price.

Acer Aspire R7-572-6423

The Acer Aspire R7-572-6423 desktop-replacement laptop still looks intriguing, but closer examination reveals a decent laptop bogged down by an awkward design.

Lovely 1,920-by-1,080 resolution display is improved with N-Trig DuoSense technology and stylus support. Sound quality is surprisingly good. Hard drive offers 1TB of storage

Performance, though improved over its predecessor, is not spectacular. Experimental design still fizzles out

The newest iteration of Acer's Aspire R7 laptop series, the Acer Aspire R7-572-6423 ($899.99 list) comes with improved touch technology, a more efficient processor, and a larger hard drive, but is it enough to overcome the problems seen on the previous...

Acer Aspire R7-572-6423

The Acer Aspire R7's stylus input and Haswell processor add value to this unique flip-screen hybrid, but putting the touchpad above the keyboard still feels awkward.

Sharp and colorful display; Innovative and unique design; Quality audio; Improved battery life; Pen input

Awkward touchpad placement; Feels heavy in tablet mode

The $899 Acer Aspire R7 certainly looks unconventional, but this hybrid has its benefits. Its 15.6-inch, 1080p display offers bright and crisp visuals; the new Haswell processor gives the system about an extra hour of battery life, and the new active...

Acer Aspire R7 (late 2013) review

Earlier this year, Acer introduced a strange convertible ultrabook called the Aspire R7. The specifications, which included a Core i5 processor and 15.6 inch 1080p display, looked mundane, but the system packed a secret weapon; a unique “easel” stand...

Good build quality ; Excellent 1080p touchscreen ; Pleasing keyboard ; Quiet, cool operation ; Great value

Slow 500GB mechanical hard drive ; Unusual touchpad placement takes getting used to

The Acer Aspire R7 is a bit strange, but it’s also a fundamentally good convertible ultrabook sold at a great price.

Acer Aspire R7-571-6858

The Acer Aspire R7-571-6858 has an innovative hinge mechanism, but the overall design is dragged down by the decision to swap the touchpad and keyboard, resulting in a design that is awkward at best.

Innovative design places touch front and center. Beautiful 15-inch 1920-by-1080 resolution display. Excellent sound with surprisingly loud volume

Flipped keyboard and touchpad is a flop. Mediocre performance

The Acer Aspire R7-571-6858 might be the first desktop replacement laptop for the all-in-one desktop generation. Featuring an adjustable easel-style stand/hinge combination, it's the first laptop I've seen with a fully adjustable monitor, and more...

Acer Aspire R7 hands-on review

As we only used the Acer Aspire R7 for a short period of time, it's impossible to say whether this is actually a good thing or not, as it will take a considerable amount of time to get used to the alien way that Acer wants you to use this notepad....

The Acer Aspire R7 is an innovative and powerful laptop that is completely geared up for touch. From our limited time with the notebook, we have to admit that we were impressed with it, but it has a couple of quirks that could be considered as flaws...

I like it

Starts faster than my old pc. I actually like the touch pad above the keys.... my thumbs would always hit the old style pad below the keybd and would bounce the cursor off the line I was typing on my old laptop which drove me crazy. I had to disable...

Mouse pad is placed *behind* keyboard rendering it useless because you inadvertent ly touch keys when mousing. Who QAd this. Asus. No way you can reverse paradigm on 20 yr habit of having pad ahead keys. Good luck.
