Acer Aspire Switch 10 review

The PC era is on its deathbed and manufacturers are reacting in experimental and interesting ways to evolve the market. The Acer Switch 10 is a multi-positional laptop-meets-tablet device, and while it's far from the first device to proposition such a...

Affordable Windows 8.1, decent screen viewing angle, magnetised docking mechanism works well, multi-position for varied use

Not as elegant as Lenovo Yoga solution, not HD resolution, deep trackpad depress, trackpad too far user-side, top-heavy in laptop form

Although the Acer Aspire Switch 10 doesn't offer any striking new innovations, it will hook its customers in from a price perspective. Because this device ticks enough boxes to see all out war between itself and the Asus T100. If you're after Windows...

A decent convertible, but its poor keyboard and lack-lustre performance makes the Asus T100 a better buy

Never again

Acer provided RT free shipment on all 3 warranty occasions, but unacceptable that MS Office was wiped in their shop and would not be replaced.

Lightweight, responsive tablet. Very nice when it works

Battery failed after 30 days. Failed 3 days after warranty service and had ON switch replaced as 2nd warranty repair. MS Office 2013 deleted in 2nd warranty repair and ACER would not replace or provide the activation number for the original

Broke 1 month out of warrenty

I would rate this device as 4 eggs on the experience and curb appeal, but 0 eggs for the corners cut and problems experienced. Considering that, 2 eggs is a fair evaluation.

Sturdy, lightweight, good battery life, crisp display and good audio, very fast for an Atom cpu

After 4 months the WIFI card died with a combination of driver errors (multiple drivers tried) and device disabled errors. Those are when the device shows up at all. As the adapter is SDIO I was hoping to be able to replace the card... No joy, the card...

Have use this for 5 months and am not really happy with it and I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Windows 8.1 is easier to use that I thought it would be coming from Windows 7 ; Size is nice but it is not really light

Touch screen is not very responsive. Twice I have lost use of both the attached keyboard and the onscreen keyboard. The first time it froze so I had to use a paper cli[p in the reset hole to get it to reboot. The other time I was able to reboot via the...

All I need for school

This little PC/tablet is a lightweight machine with all the programs you need for school. I'm glad it came with free office 2013. The battery seems OK. I have only used it a couple days so far though. The keyboard seems good enough for typing a report...

It needs a BIOs update and when I did the update it made my system take at least an hour to load, I tried to restart it 5-6 times and it wouldn't load windows. Finally I figured out it needed another complete system restore to make it work. You can...

Smooth and nice

It has nothing to do with the product but I oredered the product at 4pm, I got it the next day at 11am, amazing first thime it happens to me. Good job Newegg !

I got this 2 in 1 for my wife in replacement of her old 2007 macbook. She uses it for school, ebook reading, internet browsing and also to watch movie. This is a great ultrabook, it actually runs windows 8.1 very smoothly, the touch screen is very good...

for the price none, might update after a couple of months if we find any

Great buy

Does some things my Surface 2 RT cannot due to RT OS

Full WIN 8.1. Can't tell it is a refurb as everything looks and functions as a new unit. Synch through MS account to my desktop. Great for use on the road

32 GB may ultimately be a limiter, but so far doesn't seem so

Broke within 2 weeks

I would not recommend this product.

Nice touch screen, easy to use

Broke within 2 weeks of light use, won't power on at all and NewEgg support did not help me at all. They referred me to Acer but the SN shows up as an expired warranty by Acer support website
