Acer Aspire 1820PT review

A netbook one minute, a tablet the next

Beefy components ; Nice design

Unresponsive touchscreen ; Not for games

Drop the touchscreen, add a better GPU and make it £500 cheaper, then it'd be perfect

Acer Aspire 1820PT

Acer's 1820PT brings portability and excellent battery life firmly into the convertible tablet space.

Exceptional battery life ; Comfortable keyboard

32-bit Windows means the 4GB RAM can't be fully utilised ; Touch Portal is still a slow gimmick ; Ordinary graphics performance

As the price of regular notebooks drop, it's not surprising to see tablets dip as well. Acer's Aspire 1820PT offers everything a portable notebook user with moderate processing power might need at an attractive price point.

Acer Aspire 1820PT

My brother and I both recieved one each for Christmas. It's my first laptop that I haven't had to share with him, haha.

Good battery life, good touchscreen with stylus, touchscreen is so much better than touchpad thing, small and portable

Not a gaming laptop, no internal CD drive, laptop keyboards annoy me
