Acer 4830T-6499 review: Acer 4830T-6499

Excellent specs for its size; good battery life; compact, lightweight.

No dedicated graphics; plastic body looks and feels cheap; keyboard and touch pad are substandard.

Acer's high-end and extremely portable 11.6-inch TimelineX 1830T-68U118 offers a great combination of processor power and features that match what you'd find on a full-size laptop.

Acer Aspire TimelineX 4830T review

A budget laptop that's small in size, but big on battery life – if you need an optical drive, the 4830T is a great choice

The TimelineX weighs much more than we expected given the compact chassis, but at 2.2kg you should still be able to take it on the move without straining your shoulder. If you’re looking for a compact laptop with excellent battery life, but don’t want...

This is a great laptop. I bring it to school and it lasts me through all my classes. I don't even have to bring my charger. Depending on the usage, it easily lasts me 6-9 hours. The speakers aren't very loud so don't expect to be able to watch a movie...

Amazing battery lasts me all day ; My favorite color is blue

Not very light ; Speakers are not loud

Great laptop packed with great features

I have never been a big fan of Acer laptops but when I set out to buy one recently this one met all of my criteria so I decided to give it a try. I'm very happy with it so far. It is a solid well built laptop with plenty of features including an...

Very nice value laptop

My AS4830TG did take a fall from a table... the right hinge took the brunt of it, and the chrome disk covering the hinge screw was bent. I removed it (double-stick tape), and reapplied—it's barely noticeable, and the hinge works fine. Upgrades: I...

I'm writing this 5-egg review based on the current price of 350 clams. I own the AS4830TG-6808 which is identical save for two improvements: i5 processor and discrete graphics (NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M). This model with the i3 and built in 3000 graphics...

With the proper expectations, I see no cons. You will need to spend significantly more money on a laptop if you expect to play the latest games or do video production, etc. Most laptops will suffer from a drop (it's not a "Toughbook"). Be careful and...

The laptop came with the battery switch in the OFF position, so the battery was not recognized. I had to open the expansion bay and flip it to ON for the battery to work. *When I tested the battery, the computer was set to Balanced mode, and the screen...

Sad to see it's discontinued.

I'm tempted to recommend an Acer for a VP here at work. She is asking my opinion on a new notebook for her. I showed her mine and she seemed to like it enough to want to buy one.

We've had it for a couple months now. This has been a marvelous notebook, especially for the price. I love the core-i3 processor. The hard drive, even though it's slow, works great for what we need it to do. We haven't had any problems with it besides...

I really haven't seen any beside the wireless issue that we resolved. That wasn't the notebook's fault though

Newegg is good, Acer products bad.

Great build quality, fast processor, good price

My main frustration is a continuing problem with the wifi connection - called Acer tech service 3 times now, first they had me fix/remove wifi drivers, second they had me return laptop to system reset/factory settings, that didn't work, now they want...

Look no further

I admit that I am writing this review out of an abundance of thankfulness because last night I just spilled a fair quantity of water on this laptop and although it scarily shut off at the time, magically it survived (as I am now writing this on it)....
