Review Acer Aspire 5820TG Notebook

Frugal Gamer. A good HD 5650 graphics, perfect performance with a ...

Good 3D performance; High application performance; Low power consumption; Hybrid: HD 5650 can be disabled; Fast 750GB HDD; High-end haptics; Quiet in office mode; Good touchpad

Loud under load; Few interfaces; Contrast weak display; TFT fairly dark, not AR coated; Imprecise keys

We hardly ever encounter such a solid aluminum lid. This should become industrial standard

Acer Aspire TimelineX AS5820T-5951

The Acer Aspire TimelineX AS5820T-5951 is stripped of the bells and whistles—the Blu-ray drive, graphics power, a top-tier processor—but it does so to arrive at a tempting price. It's a desktop replacement laptop that gives you the core things laptop...

Sleek metal design. Standard volt processor. Over 7 hours of battery life. Lightest in its class. Great user experience. Very inexpensive

Lacks any sort of cutting edge features, like Blu-ray and discrete graphics

The Acer TimelineX AS5820T-5951 is a metal-clad PC that delivered over 7 hours of battery life, and runs a standard volt processor—not bad for a $700 laptop.

Got the power in gaming and in work using graphics.

The memory and graphics combined for gaming and work use

The hard drive is quite small to handle large files. Working with graphics will be touch and go for storage

nice laptop

I would recommend buying this laptop, don't worry about the product name. Nice screen graphics, sound is ok, no laptop has good sound anyway. Good battery life, so far no problems with it.

DO NOT BUY ACER COMPUTERS

The computer worked fine while under warranty. However, after 1.5 years the motherboard gave out on it and it will no longer power up. Replacing the motherboard is a $400 adventure....time for a new computer. You can bet it will not be a Acer. I am not...
