Review Acer Aspire V5-471G Notebook

Light and cheap, but gaming capable? Acer combine a frugal ULV processor and a GeForce GPU in a slim case. This could result in a mobile, light, gaming capable notebook. Our review reveals to what extent this is true.

24 month warranty, USB 3.0, decent system performance, gaming capable, light and handy, The decent system performance and the 2 years warranty

CPU throttling under full load, not easy to maintain, at best, moderate display, short battery life, because of a small battery, rather loud, A bigger battery, lower system noise, easier maintenance, a better display

Acer Aspire V5-471-6569

As the less expensive counterpart to the Acer Aspire V5-571-6869 , the Acer Aspire V5-471-6569 is characterized by less robust specs and hardware, particularly its older "Sandy Bridge" processor. This is a budget-priced desktop replacement that...

Thin, attractive design. Affordably priced

So-so performance. Poor touchpad, keyboard. Lots of bloatware. Adapter required for Ethernet/VGA combo port

As far as budget-priced desktop replacements go, the Acer Aspire V5-571 is a decent performer, and its shortcomings can be forgiven in light of its sub-$500 price tag.

Acer Aspire V5-471-6569

It's not often that we see full-fledged under-$500 notebooks, and, when we do, they're usually cheaply constructed and don't perform well, making them difficult to take seriously. Hence, our pleasant surprise after spending a few days with Acer's...

Low price for the component mix ; Strong feature set ; Solid build feel ; Relatively impressive display and audio

Sluggish performance ; Subpar Webcam output

Although it's a little slow by today's standards, this under-$500 laptop is rich in connectivity and other options, and its Dolby-enhanced audio sounds good. It's a great buy if you don't need a lot of graphics and gaming muscle.
