Acer Aspire V5-571 Review

Ultra-budget laptops powered by dual-core Intel Pentium processor and 2GB RAM are best suited only for basic everyday tasks such as media playback, web browsing, using office suite and social networking. If you want more power for snappier performance...

At an MRP of Rs 30,899, the Aspire V5-571 is quite reasonably priced, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look elsewhere. There are models that offer better value for money, such as the Lenovo Essential G580—it costs almost as much as the Aspire V5-571...

Notebookcheck's Best of July 2012

Back to the Basics.During the month of July we didn't evaluate any elite gaming systems. We rather focused on subnotebooks, business and multimedia laptops. Our test systems spanned the entire gamut: from the thin-and-light MacBook Air 11, to the...

The Asus Transformer Pad Prime TF201 was already a great tabled ranking near the top in the tablet segment. There is no question that Asus upped the ante with the Infinity

Review Acer Aspire V5-571G Notebook

Experimental success? The Acer Aspire V5-571G attempts to serve a

low power consumption; good applications performance; matte case finishing; low price; USB 3.0

flaws in build quality; disappointing display; high-pitched fan sound; positioning of ports; small battery

There is currently no direct competitor. The Aspire V5-571G can be considered a larger alternative to sub-notebooks like the Dell Vostro 3360. Most ultrabooks like the Samsung 530U3B are considerably more expensive. Asus also offers a thin 15-inch...

Acer Aspire V5-571-6891

The Acer Aspire V5-571-6891 ($499.99 list) is a Windows 8 budget desktop replacement laptop with very few compromises. It comes with a large 15.6-inch display with a full keyboard, multi-touch trackpad, DVD burner, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi,...

Great Price. 6GB of memory. Full keyboard including numeric keypad. Core i3 processor with Intel HD 4000 Graphics. 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi. Good speakers and sound

No Touch screen. Only one USB 3.0 port. Dongle for Ethernet and VGA. Bloatware in desktop mode

The Acer Aspire V5-571-6891 comes in as a price leader: under $500, yet it's a fully functional desktop replacement laptop rather than the stripped down netbook that you'd expect for so few ducats.

Acer Aspire V5-571

The Aspire V5-571 offers speedy Core i5 performance for a cheap price, but the design isn't very exciting.

Good everyday performance; Can handle mainstream games; Runs cool; Lightweight for 15-inch notebook

Short battery life; Bland design; Finicky touchpad

Click to EnlargeThe Acer Aspire V5-571-6869 provides good performance for a low price. This $529 15-incher is also thinner and lighter than the bargain notebook competition. However, the battery life could be better and the design is bland.

Acer Aspire V5-571-6869

The Acer Aspire V5-571-6869 ($649.99 direct) laptop may not wow you with fancy features or premium performance, but it will definitely help you save a few bucks. This budget desktop replacement laptop cuts the price without sacrificing productivity by...

Intel Core i5-3317U processor. Numeric pad

Bloatware. Ethernet/VGA combo port requires adapter

The Acer Aspire V5-571-6869 is a bare-bones budget laptop that still manages to provide solid performance and acceptable battery life.

Acer Aspire V5-571 Review

The Acer Aspire V5-571 looks good in terms of specs and price but fails to deliver in terms of overall quality.

Decent performance ; Five hour battery life

Poor display quality ; Fan whine ; Feels cheap

The Acer Aspire V5-571 is tough to recommend because it has so few qualities that would make it recommenable. The screen is poor; the build quality is average; the keyboard and touchpad need better tactile feedback; the design is boring; the speakers...

Love it

Absolutely the answer to what I need for the trips on the road, which I will be taking in a couple weeks to the west coast from Midwest area so it will get a good workout. Looks as good as a new one but price much better and it still had the 1 year...

only came with 6GB RAM so I had to buy more, but at least RAM is cheap for it

Review from a tech support guy

First thing I did upon receiving it was take it apart and swap in a SSD. 5400rpm hard drives Used a Samsung 840 because it was cheap at the time and size fit perfectly. HDD is thin, so needed an SSD that fit the 7mm thickness. Next, installed Windows 8...

Some background...I run a small computer repair business and needed a cheap Intel laptop to take in the field with me. Had to have at least an i5 and USB 3.0 for troubleshooting. This fit the bill. It is very thin...thinner than a VGA and Ethernet...

It's horrible to work on. To replace the hard drive it requires complete disassembly...no less than 24 screws need to be removed, the keyboard, bezel, etc. Thankfully, Acer created a maintenance manual so it's not difficult, just time consuming ; Case...
