Acer TravelMate 4000LCi Review (pics, specs)

I was recently shopping for a notebook to replace my existing Dell laptop and finally decided on the Acer TravelMate 4000LCi. Having previously used Acer, Compaq, Toshiba, & Dell during the last 5-years I knew I wanted to avoid certain pitfalls of my...

Acer4151 has zero support

Bought the ACER4151 to replace another ACER4000 series I gave to my Mom. Nice laptop for the price, but as usual you get what you pay for and I obviously paid zero for support. Long Story short... messed up the HD and the system would not boot from...

Not a bad buy...

I just received this laptop last week. After a week of use, I'm really glad I bought it. First and foremost, the unit was ready to be set up out of the box. Unfortunately, the Windows XP Pro came packaged as Acer System Restore CDs. This is usually...

Acer TM4009LCI-XPP NoteBook Intel Pentium M 1.50GHz 15.0" XGA 512MB Memory DDR333 60GB HDD DVD/CD-RW Combo Intel Extreme Graphics 2

I love this machine, my wife has ahd it now for a good while. I do not see any real flaws except the wireless LAN button on the front. Excellent battery life. I do not have any bad words about this laptop at all.

Nice Laptop, Great Price

Actually using the TM4000LCi, but planning to get one of these. Only difference I can see between them is the CPU upgraded from 1.4Ghz Pentium-M in the 4000 and 1.5Ghz in the 4001. Battery lasting around 4.5 hours with the wireless off or 3-3.5 hours...

Excelent value

This is the least expensive Pentium M thin and light by a wide margin. It is light and with a large screen. The battery actually lasts 4-5 hrs. The sound is not loud enough to hear a movie on an airplane but other than that it is a great laptop!

great laptop for the money, one minor flaw

this is a great laptop, considering it's a pentium m (not a celeron) with xp pro. built in wlan works great! the only flaw is that the on/off switch for the wlan is on the front of the laptop, so if you hold it on your knees there's a tendency to...

Acer TravelMate TM4000LCi-XPH-2MB NoteBook Intel Pentium M 1.40GHz 15.0" XGA 256MB Memory DDR333 40GB HDD DVD/CD-RW Combo Intel Extreme Graphics 2

Great laptop and features. Ordered 12/20/04, received 12/26/04. Added 512 MB stick of Kingmax DDR 333, and now this notebook rocks! Students in my electronics class in January and February to-date prefer using my Acer to run their project simulations...

This looks like an upgrade to the TravelMate 4000 with 2x the HD and RAM. I've had a 4000 for a month and I have been extremely pleased. The battery holds over four hours at a single charge. The keyboard is extremely comfortable and unlike many...

Very Nice!

Notebook arrived in two days, like always, outstanding shipping from NewEgg! This notebook was way more than I expected for the money. After looking locally, at the BigBox office and electronics stores, I found that I would have to spend 200 to 300...
