Acer TravelMate 6292-6700 review: Acer TravelMate 6292-6700

Acer TravelMate 6292-6700

Compact design; outstanding battery life and decent performance; fingerprint reader; comfortable keyboard and touch pad; built-in DVD burner and Webcam; plenty of ports and connections.

Heavy for an ultraportable; lousy speakers; limited technical-support hours.

More full-featured and also heavier than most ultraportables, the business-oriented Acer TravelMate 6292 offers solid performance and great battery life at a low price.

Acer TravelMate 6292

A well-built and -- shock-horror -- good-looking business notebook, the Acer TravelMate 6292 would be one of our first choices for life on the road.

Decent battery life, Performance levels are right on the money, Good value for money, Rigid construction

No multimedia controls, No LED backlight

Performance results, Battery life, New Centrino Duo platform

Viewing angle is not ideal

For such a small notebook it packs a lot of punch. Business users on the go will enjoy its light weight and portable design, not to mention its reliable battery. There's little to complain about when it comes to performance either.
