Chic and pricey wide-screen model has a DVI port and a five-in-one media card reader.

The only area in which the 8100 stumbles is entertainment. Letterboxed DVD movies looked fine on the wide-aspect screen, but sound from the front-mounted stereo speakers was too faint. Hardware volume control is limited to annoying combination...

Acer TravelMate TM8104 Intel Pentium M 750 1.86GHz TM8104WLMi Notebook

The Acer TravelMate TM8104 is in the Company's performance series. It's big but sleek design give it a look of good qualities in terms of performance, without giving making it too heavy for travelling with.

Overall there is not much lacking from this computer, it gives you everything you could need, except for multimedia buttons. Performance is great and everything else works fine. It's not a low priced deal, but will certainly give you everything you...

Don't do it!

Just walk away. I don't think Acer brand is ready for the USA. Someday, your going to need support, and Acer's technical support department is the next to worthless. So, my opinion is to shop elsewhere.

Powerful and Thin

I upgraded to the Acer 8100 series after using a Dell 8600 for over a year and I couldnt be happier with my upgrade. This thing is outstanding....the keyboard has a tilt but it feels comfortable..great for programming and occasional gaming. Only issue...

Powerful, thin, great looking screen, good wireless reception, dvd burner, Radeon X700, Bluetooth, good sound, the works.
