Review Acer TravelMate P633-M-32374G50ikk Notebook

For future engineers. 400 Euros (~$515) for an office notebook sounds very appealing. Compact measurements combined with a mid-range processor of Intel's second generation should help the thesis to be successful. The price is low, the display mediocre...

compact, sturdy magnesium case, excellent display hinges, Docking Port, 3x USB 3.0, good power consumption, low price, The Acer TravelMate P633 is an economical work tool for students and small businesses

low display brightness, tinny loud speakers, slow hard-drive, out-of-date hardware, creaking mouse buttons, spongy keyboard, low battery runtimes, A bigger battery would increase the final score by a few points

Review Acer TravelMate P653 Notebook

Office and more. Acer's new Travelmate P653 is supposed to appeal to customers that require a multifaceted notebook for a reasonable price of 799 Euro. It has a focus on office use and on multimedia features. Whether the P653 really provides the whole...

Solid construction ; Pleasant haptics ; Good input devices ; Restrained cooling fan ; Pleasant surface temperatures ; Good battery life ; Great connectivity features

Display not suitable for outdoors ; Low resolution ; Very bad speakers ; Annoying beeping sounds during 3D rendering and games

What is really surprising is that the Acer has become a very good value-for-money package despite it not having any really outstanding aspects. It is able to provide everything we would have hoped for with the exception of the speaker quality and...

Review Acer TravelMate P643-MG-53214G75Mikk Notebook

ThinkMate. The Acer TravelMate P643 features a docking port, mult

Compact, stiff magnesium chassis; Great tactile feedback and key travel; Smooth and effortless mouse buttons; Docking port, 3 x USB 3.0; Rare: ExpressCard/34; Useful security and admin tools; Good battery life; Good gaming performance; Solid...

low contrast, small viewing angles; so-so TFT brightness; slow hard drive; long charge time of four hours; series doesn't offer a lot of configuration options

Acer gets rid of the eSATA port but installs a ExpressCard/34 slot.

Review Acer TravelMate TimelineX 8573TG Notebook

Hot. Acer launches its new TravelMate TimelineX generation onto the highly competitive market. The 15.6 inch 8573TG proves to have a stable system with good workmanship and first rate computing power. However, the notebook with the anti-glare screen...

Good workmanship; Good computing power; Solid battery life; Anti-glare display

Poor contrast; Low brightness; Poor heat dissipation

Acer TravelMate P-653M

After recently reviewing a couple of light offerings that had SSD to give rapid booting, its back to a larger business notebook but as its high end you lose that horrible shiny black screen surround that shows all the fingermarks.

It is 38x24.5x3cm and weights just over 2.5kilos. It is dark grey apart from the area behind the keyboard that is a mushroom colour. The 106 keyboard has full size keys – apart from the top line function keys – which have a nice feel when pressed....

Good Laptop

Stock 5400 RPM HDD is very sluggish and would randomly hang. Upgraded to a 256 GB Crucial M500 SSD and it is blazing fast now, with no hiccups. I wanted to update my BIOS, but have been unable to, since it is for some reason locked. Acer provides next...

Small and slim ; Windows 7 Pro ; Good price ; Matte screen: No glare ; Lots of storage ; CPU is surprisingly fast ; GPU is also capable: Plays Minecraft at over 100 FPS and 1080p YouTube no issue ; AMAZING battery life: Best I've ever had. ~8 hours ;...

Very slow HDD ; Says warranty is already registered ; Bloat.....lots of it ; Bios is locked down and unable to flash them ; Screen has poor brightness and mediocre colors

Excellent Laptop

Honestly, if you are looking for a cheap, high-performance laptop that could play the occasional casual game well, this is an excellent choice.

Awesome Speed ; Windows 7 ; Highly Portable ; Battery Style makes ventilation underneath the laptop more highly functional ; Plays relatively casual games with high graphics with 110FPS (i.e. MineCraft)

Excellent Value - Good Business-class Laptop

This Acer is a fine business-class laptop. The build is rock solid. The display hinges are tight and the finish is superb. I think the 5400 rpm drive and i3 are a compromise, but the machine still functions well enough for business users. Acer is very...

Size and Weight ; Lots of Ports (USB, card reader, HDMI, eSATA, NIC, etc.) ; Incredible battery life ; Good keyboard

Not the lightest beast around ; Display is good, but not full HD ; Only 4GB RAM default ; Lots of Crapware to remove

Buyer Beware

This was my first and last ACER product. Very poor quality control.

None. Dead on arrival

To much time wasted determining that this was something I should buy and it ended up not working when I received it
