Light, highly portable design ; Has great battery life

Speakers are poor ; Optical drive is external

Fully user-upgradeable and comes standard with two batteries, including a high-capacity one that performed well on our tests.

One kept shutting down or locking up whenever it got moved, and the other the backlight went out. Acer has no next day repair available, so had to send back. took a week to 10 days to get it back again.

Worked fine until they failed within 3 months

Reliability - Bought two of these computers, both have had to be sent back for repairs within the first 3 months

I've been looking for a basic light weight laptop that I can tote around all day without a pain in my shoulder. I was not looking for all the bells and whistles, I have that on my home computer. Just something that can run office documents, strong...

I love the size - a great balance between lite weight and crisp screen. Easily carried around

The speakers are barely audible. I am also having trouble using Dragon Naturally Speaking which I think is due to the fan noise causing too much interference. I will try again with a better microphone
