Advent 6555 review

A powerful quad-core laptop offering impressive gaming performance

Quad core CPU ; ATI Graphics ; Blu-ray drive ; 4GB of RAM

Protruding battery ; Hefty size ; Screen not Full HD

A great performing laptop that makes short work of intensive tasks as well as having the ability to play HD movies and some of the latest games

Advent 6555

Powerful and great value for money (wish it shipped with XP Pro instead of Vista though). Very quite in operation, which is a change from my old 3Ghz P4 lappy from Aldi a few years back. I have yet to find the time for some serious gaming, but some...

Battery life could be better (~2hrs) but what can you expect? The mouse pad is offset to the left meaning that your left thumb often brushed across it inadvertantly when typing or gaming; why not centred? beats me why it is offset like this... The F1,...
