Advent 9112 ultraportable laptop review

 

The Advent 9112 shows that you don't need to pay a huge premium if you want a laptop that's small and portable.

Despite its budget price tag, the Advent 9112 has a reasonable specification, especially for an ultraportable. However, its battery life isn't great, so you'll have to make sure you know where the next power point is if you're planning on taking it out...

Nice and easy to use

Will turn itself off losing work. Am currently training to be a teacher so isn't helpful but am too far away to get the problem dealt with.

The computer's actual size and performance at such a good price were just what I wanted. Suitable for travel -and home when attached to my larger monitor

More USB sockets would always be welcome. No instructions available pertinent to my model - only general booklet. Took ages to learn how to use the camera and still not sure about some switches/buttons. Origional order time is rather long.

I have it plugged in so battery life is not relevent. Design light and sleek. Referb model however it was like brand new when I purchased it.

I wanted a lightweight laptop primarily for delivering training in different locations and this product fitted the bill perfectly. It actually fits in one of my handbags!

The battery could last a bit longer and the power up button sometimes doesn't register.

Small, lightweight, easily portable laptop with good performance, perfect for internet browsing, working from home, watching films etc. Also has an easy to work mouse- unlike many laptops! Overall, a good standard laptop at a very acceptable price.

Very few, mainly the battery life (about 1 hour of normal usage) although given that the battery is very small this isn't suprising.
