The 15.6-inch Advent Sienna 710 laptop has a very fast processor, but its specification isn't as balanced as we would have liked.

Superb multitasking performance ; Attractive lid design ; Good keyboard

Chunky dimensions ; Poor 3D performance ; Short battery life

The i7 processor means the Advent Sienna 710 really does pack a powerful punch when it comes to multitasking performance. This leaves the laptop a little lopsided in its specification, though, since the graphics chip can't keep up with the CPU....

However, despite a rather unassuming appearance, the Advent Sienna 710 comes with the fastest and most powerful processor of the group – Intel's 2.66GHz Core i7-620M.

At £699, the Advent Sienna 710 is a relatively inexpensive way of wielding some fearsome portable computing power, but with its battery life and heat issues, along with comparatively poor graphics performance and high fan noise, we can’t recommend it...

I wasn't expecting from this brand but the discounted price was too good to refuse when a i5 laptop would have cost more in the next brand level. But after a week I'm very surprised, the build is not bad and it runs quite and cold. I won't comment on...

The price is now down to £450 Thats great for a i7 hdmi laptop

i've recently purchased this laptop and i must say, it is brilliant for the £479 on offer i paid. although i wouldn't pay the full £700 for it. i use it for music production and use ableton and reason and seems to work fine... the battery life is poor...
