Apple MacBook (2008)

A sleek and durable design, strong everyday performance, and good battery life complement Apple's easy-to-use operating system and first-class software bundle.

Overall, the MacBook is a gorgeous and sturdy thin-and-light notebook that is well worth the premium. It matches serious graphics punch with good endurance, and its buttonless touchpad is surprisingly easy to use. The only major flaws are the dearth...

Great design, Awesome performance, and it can pick up Wi-Fi really well

Great laptop for work

Good for work, fast startup, and minimal crashing makes up for the low battery life.

I use this laptop for work, and take it home with me to continue working in the evening if I need to. It's light, turns on quickly, and doesn't get viruses or crash as often as PCs

The battery life could be better. Depends on the brightness of the screen, but I can barely get 2 hours out of it, which isn't even long enough to last most plane/train rides. And it's not an old battery, either

The best laptop I've every had!

Simple design, very fast, and versatile

White finish causes discoloration, glossy front gets scratched easily, no upgradable graphics

It's not rocket science to be a switcher!

I've been using Microsoft-based operating system for more than 20 years now and I finally said enough of the annoying crashes, updates and viruses! I thought it would be rocket science if I switched to mac but nevertheless I gave it a try and decided...

Stuff magazine

Apple's MacBook recently received a welcome power-up. Can the upgrade steal some attention from the shiny, fresh-faced Air?

The spec tweaks might be minor, but the MacBook remains a highly desirable and excellent value laptop for everything except hardcore gaming
