Review Apple MacBook Air 13 Mid 2013 MD760D/A Subnotebook

Battery Life Extensions. Traditionally, Apple products have long product cycles and are only upgraded conservatively here and there. Thus, it does not come as a surprise that the MacBook Air 13 is the spitting image of its predecessor. In the following...

Great workmanship ; Light and slim ; Very good backlit keyboard ; Silent at low load ; Good system performance ; Fast storage devices ; Very good battery life ; Thunderbolt offers extensive upgrade possibilities ; Port posiitioning

Case edge is quite sharp in certain areas ; No mobile broadband module available ; Wobbly display in slanted position ; Non-removable battery ; No internal upgrade options ; Reflective display ; No display port adapter in delivery ; Small gaps between...

The competition required so much time to create laptops which could compete with the MacBook Air. Only now can we say that the alternatives are very attractive and offer some advantages over Apple's notebook

Apple 13-inch MacBook Air review

The 2013 13-inch MacBook Air has enough internal improvements to make it one of the most desirable ultraportable notebooks on the market. It may lack an ultra-high-resolution display and touchscreen functionality, but there's little else to fault it.

Superb industrial design ; Exemplary build quality ; 4th-Generation Core (Haswell) CPU ; Improved HD 5000 GPU ; Excellent battery life ; Fast 256GB SSD ; 802.11ac Wi-Fi

Moderate pixel-density display ; No touchscreen functionality ; Price mounts as options are added

Conclusion Although it looks much the same as the 2012 model on the outside, the 2013 13-inch MacBook Air has enough internal improvements to make it one of the most desirable ultraportable notebooks on the market — if not the most desirable. It may...

Review: Latest Intel chip boosts speed and endurance in new MacBook Air

Apple new ultraportable laptop sports a few under-the-hood changes that make it even better than before.

The new MacBook Air has a lot in common with its predecessor in terms of features and look and feel. While the improvements are mostly subtle, they succeed in making an already excellent product even more desirable. Under the hood improvements to the...

Apple MacBook Air (13-inch, 2013)

It may be a case of "the more things change, the more they stay the same."

New Intel fourth-gen CPUs help the updated MacBook Air achieve amazing battery life. The multitouch trackpad is still the industry's best, and even better, the 13-inch MacBook Air now starts at $100 less than the previous model.

Newer features such as touch screens and higher-resolution displays are still missing. The ultrabook competition is catching up, in terms of design.

Apple keeps the latest MacBook Air updates on the inside, but greatly improved battery life and a lower starting price make up for a lack of flashy design changes.

Apple 13-Inch MacBook Air

The best ultra-portable computer just got better -- with a new processor and some much-improved battery performance.

Phenomenal battery life, over 12 hours in most conditions. Respectable performance thanks to Intel’s new Haswell processor. Same .68-inch thick, super light-chassis. Best keyboard and trackpad out there. Better networking performance with 802.11ac support

No Retina display yet. For some, lack of Ethernet port or optical drive may be a deal-breaker. Gets expensive once you max out the SSD and RAM

Great performance, crazy good battery life, the best touchpad on the market—Apple's latest has it all.

Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (2013) review

With palms resting on the slick and familiar deck of the 2013 MacBook Air, it's with some trepidation that we look to review Apple's latest version of its iconic notebook computer.

Battery life, faster, cheaper than last year

No bump to screen resolution, connectivity isn't the best out there

New internal hardware helps the MacBook Air maintain its position as one of our favourite notebooks. We're still happy with the 2012 MacBook Air, but there's enough here to make us want to upgrade: the improved performance and particularly that battery...

Apple MacBook Air 13in (2013) review

It might not have a Retina screen, but that doesn't stop the new MacBook Air being the greatest laptop ever made

Great all-day battery life Haswell innards and upgrades to RAM and SSD 802.11ac networking

Missing a Retina display Not our first choice for gaming More expensive than Windows 8 rivals

The best just got better: improved components result in improved performance, and although the design is ageing it’s still a winner

Apple MacBook Air 13in (Mid-2013) review

Apple has hit two notable ‘firsts' with this, the 2013 incarnation of the iconoclastic MacBook Air. It packs several game-changing revisions. Not only is it the first mainstream laptop you can buy with an Intel Haswell processor, it's also the first...

The Apple MacBook Air (Mid-2013) really does provide all-day battery life. For that alone, it fully deserves to be top of the list for anyone looking for a workaday laptop, one that can reduce one of modern life’s stresses: that of wondering whether...
