Apple MacBook Core 2 Duo Review

Studying Computer Science at Imperial College London has given me the opportunity to use a wide range of Operating Systems. In the past year, I have both casually played with and professionally worked with Linux, UNIX, Windows and Mac OS X. In my...

Good overall build ; High quality iSight camera ; Excellent sound card ; OS X >> Windows XP (with the exception of gaming) ; A performance increase is always nice

Standard delivery method is on a cart pulled by a mule. (Very slow, for those of you who don’t get it) ; Rosetta ; No PC card slot ; No memory card reader ; Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950

I have never before experienced such a simple to use, efficient, bug free and secure user interface. The most frustrating part during this review was when I had to Boot Camp into Windows and run the few benchmark tests. The driver installations,...

Apple MacBook (Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz)

While the entry-level MacBook is available only in white, when you move up to the 2.0GHz version, black is also an option. Our black MacBook isn't quite as sharp as the metallic MacBook Pro we looked at recently, but it still has a very distinctive...

Cheaper than the MacBook Pro, with nearly comparable performance; great design; built-in Webcam and remote control; can run Windows XP via Boot Camp.

No ExpressCard slot or FireWire 800; lacks media card reader; only 90 days of toll-free technical support.

The new MacBook, updated to Intel's Core 2 Duo CPU, compares very favorably with Apple's high-end MacBook Pro line, offering premium performance at a reasonable price.

The best in the market

This computer is fantastic! I have had mine for about a year now and i have not had a single problem with a virus or anything. Definitely worth the little bit of extra money over a PC.

Everything

None, this computer is fantastic

Overall, great laptop

bottom line, the pros outweigh the con.

stylish, fast, good graphics, quick video playback, good connectivity, no anti virus needed

the only con is the fan inside.. it blasts during video playback

don't buy it!!

hmm... the white macbook... physically the casing is fragile, not only is it incredibly flexible, it turns yellow very very easily (despite my best efforts to keep it from altering from pearly white to vomit yellow) mac os leopard is terrible... very...

no doubt the macbook looks great, mac os doesn't require anti-virus software

poor build quality... mac os software is a sad excuse to buy the product
