Apple MacBook Pro (1.83GHz) review

The MacBook Pro delivers unparalleled style and a solid set of features and software, but a few transitional performance issues keep it from rivalling the most powerful PC laptops

Beautiful, sleek design ; Robust software package, including Mac OS X Tiger ; Illuminated keyboard and big, scrollable touch pad ; Multimedia features include DVD burner, built-in Webcam and remote control

Non-native software runs slowly ; Few firm dates on when the software transition will be complete ; Subpar battery life ; Lacks media card reader and some other ports ; Higher-end configurations are much more expensive than their PC equivalents

My first ever Mac and laptop. My friends have used them for years. Very sexy machine indeed and performs fast and well.

The screen is so clear. Boot up time is fast. It just works

Don't use it on a plastic stable table. I melted it to the base of the laptop it got so hot. Managed to get the plastic off the base. You learn that way. I will stick on some large felt feet
