Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina review

The 2013 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro has a super, pixel-packed screen, looks great, has good battery life and gives you a healthy boost of power over the MacBook Air, without bulging out your backpack too much. It'll set you back a pretty penny though.

Beautiful, high-definition display ; Good battery life ; Plenty of power ; Solid, attractive design

No Ethernet port ; Still pretty pricey

If it had a dedicated GPU, it would be near perfect as a 13" laptop for mobile work.

Retina display, Slimmer body, Smaller footprint than other Apple 13" MacBooks

No dedicated GPU

Too expensive

Lovely screen but that can't address the astronomical, take-equity-out-of-your-house price and the distinct lack of features for that price bracket.

Screen looks fantastic

Subsequent bankruptcy and significantly lacking in power for this price bracket
