With its vast features and a Core 2 Duo upgrade, the MacBook Pro 15-inch easily sits among the elite.

Fastest Core 2 Duo processor available. Terrific performance scores. Best-looking laptop on the market. Now has a FireWire 800 port and can burn dual-layer DVDs

Battery life could be better

Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch Laptop

Apple machines are no longer just style statements, as their performance matches that of some powerful workhorses out there.

Also, earlier when the previous Core series of processors were used, the memory controller was on the North Bridge of the motherboard chipset. Now, memory controllers are integrated into the CPUs such as the new Core i5 and i7 processors. Since, Nvidia...

Apple MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2.4GHz)

Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro gets a solid under-the-hood upgrade for better performance and longer battery life, allowing the MacBook Pro to put enough distance between itself and the lower-end MacBook to justify its higher price.

Updated CPU and graphics without an updated price ; LED-backlit display for better battery life ; 802.11n support

Minimal configuration options ; Only 90 days of complimentary technical support ; Still no media card reader

By upgrading to the latest Intel platform and Nvidia graphics for better performance, adding a new screen tech for better battery life, and keeping the same great design and same starting prices, the MacBook Pro puts enough distance between itself and...

Apple MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2.4GHz)

The build quality is not up there with similarly priced laptops. OSX does not just work, it has broken down as much if not more than my XP. Mind you I do like the quick start times. This is a nice "fashionable" laptop that does its "laptop" work well.

Better than average keyboard and the mag safe cord is terrific

build quality is not as good as similarly priced laptops (i.e. thinkpads)
