Apple MacBook Pro 2007 Edition (Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD)

Editor's Note: This review primarily covers the recent updates to the Apple MacBook Pro line. For a detailed look at the design and features, read our earlier review of the Apple MacBook Pro (15.4-inch 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) .

Updated CPUs and graphics without an updated price; LED-backlit display for better battery life; 802.11n support.

Minimal configuration options; only 90 days of toll-free technical support; still no media card reader.

Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro gets a solid under-the-hood upgrade for better performance and longer battery life, allowing the MacBook Pro to put enough distance between itself and the lower-end MacBook to justify its higher price.

Apple's most desirable Macbook gains an LED backlight and a brand new processor. Does it still stand out from the PC pack?

The Macbook Pro now offers even more bang for your bucks and should remain the choice for connoisseurs of intuitive, stylish computing

"I only wish Apple made MBPs like this one again."

I know it is already 2012, but I really have to tip my hat to the Apple of year 2007.

It outlived, outlasted and outperformed every other PC laptop (5+) my family brought in since 2007.

Noisier than a squawking parrot.

"This laptop broke down 4 times in 3 years!"

I had to change the mother board twice!! The screen after two months of using it and then the fan!

When it works, it's pretty decent. I said, when it works.

This mac is fragile. Heats up real bad. Battery, even new, is weak

Had my macbook for a little over a month before it died. Costumer service is terrible. Took three months to get it repaired only to have it crash within the week it was returned.

Looks great.

Doesn't work.

"Great Computer!"

as a switcher, i was impressed most by its build quality. this thing is built like a tank.

sturdy build, os x, gorgeous screen, good battery life, keyboard, GPU

only two usb ports, can get hot while playing flash movies or other processor intensive work, doesnt have a mic in port
