Apple MacBook Pro Core i7 Laptop

The latest generation of Apple MacBook Pro may look almost identical to previous models, but there's a gulf between them when it comes to performance. With the latest and fastest components to go with the excellent build quality, the Pro definitely has...

The latest Apple MacBook Pro is an amazing piece of kit. It really is one of the nicest laptops on sale when it comes to quality, with a tough aluminium casing that feels stronger than any of its rivals. The glass screen also adds a touch of class

Unlike most Apple models, the latest generation MacBook Pro is actually slightly thicker than previous models – at least in 15-inch guise. It's not all bad though, as the extra depth is because of a larger integrated battery. We've easily managed to...

We love the Apple MacBook Pro. It looks great, build quality is beyond any of its rivals, and it has the performance to match. It's a shame the company hasn't updated the styling from previous models, but there's virtually nothing to dislike.

13.3-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2011 review

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro's significant CPU updates and fantastic battery life make it one of the top laptops, provided you can live with passable integrated graphics.

CPU updates offer big leaps in performance; phenomenal battery life; excellent ergonomics and keyboard; large, smooth, multitouch clickpad; 720p HD Webcam

Graphics performance is slightly worse than last year's 13-inch Pro; 13-inch screen resolution still low compared with the MacBook Air; Thunderbolt port still an unknown until accessories become available; limited upgrade options; expensive; no HDMI or...

Despite retaining the same price and look as last year's model, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro's significant CPU updates and fantastic battery life make it one of the top laptops we've reviewed, provided you can live with passable integrated graphics.

15.4-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2011 review

It's a hefty investment, but the combination of new high-end Intel processor options and AMD graphics makes the 15-inch MacBook Pro an all-around powerhouse.

Powerful updates to the CPU and GPU; excellent battery life; still the best touchpad and gesture controls of any laptop

Upgrades can get expensive; Thunderbolt is an unproven technology with as-yet no compatible products; still no dedicated HDMI, Blu-ray, or other wished-for options

It's a hefty investment, but the combination of new high-end Intel processor options and AMD graphics makes the 15-inch MacBook Pro an all-around powerhouse, with the new Thunderbolt I/O port as an added bonus.

15.4-inch MacBook Pro 2010 review

Sporting the same design and port selection as its predecessors, the new Core-i MacBook Pros have enough features to woo even recent Apple laptop purchasers.

Adds fast, efficient Intel Core i5, i7 processors; new Nvidia graphics; seamless switching between integrated and discrete GPUs

At the top end of the price scale; still no HDMI, Blu-ray or other high-end options

Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro keeps the same look and feel, but offers major internal changes, including an optional Intel Core i7 CPU, making it a very serious portable powerhouse.
