Apple MacBook Pro MB471LL/A

In conclusion, the MacBook Pro MB471LL/A provides the quality performance that you would expect from Apple. With great performance and the ability to modify your graphics performance based on your needs, the MacBook Pro MB471LL/A is a sturdy machine...

Review: MacBook Pro (15-inch, late 2008)

Still a great portable from Apple in spite of some quirks.

Sturdier, cooler, thinner aluminum chassis ; Still the performance champion; option for power-saving graphics a boon ; Trackpad a more effective use of space ; Colors 'pop' on the display ; Good notebook-class speakers

No FireWire 400 ; Glossy screen a potential distraction with no matte option ; Can't use both GPUs at once like that coming for Windows notebooks ; Expansion, screen still used to push users to a system they may otherwise not need

The MacBook Pro has always been the bigger, faster, more advanced (and more expensive) version of the MacBook. While most people will likely find the $1,299 MacBook suitable for everyday work, some people might need or prefer the pricier MacBook Pro.

Apple MacBook Pro (2.4GHz)

The greenest MacBook yet.

Design, aluminium enclosure, backlit keyboard, dual graphics setup, glass trackpad with multi-touch, green/energy efficient

Touchpad has spots with poor response, poor viewing angles, glossy display can be distracting, hard drive only 5400rpm, graphics switch requires log-out

Apple’s greenest notebook ever is also one of its best. The MacBook Pro is overpriced, but you certainly get a powerful and exquisitely designed machine for your hard-earned cash. It’s not perfect, but using it is a largely positive experience on the...

Apple MacBook Pro notebook - Pocket-lint

If you've got the cash and are in the market for a top of the range notebook this will do you nicely. It's just a shame it has to be so expensive

Trackpad, design, performance

Sockets too close together for USB dongle users, expensive

So should you be impressed? Of course you should, this is Apple turning its design eye to the laptop and making a very high-end shiny toy that is likely to appeal to the Mac set through and through.

EVOLUTION CAN'T BE STOPPED

I do have some questions: with the ExpressCard/34 slot. your data rate is much faster than the standard ports already on the box. Why not just have them all as equally efficient without needing the Expresscard slot? - (blinding everyone with my...

Firstly, this is not my first Mac. I love em to pieces. This bad boy, is sleek, fast, and UBER reliable. Has power for whatever you are doing and runs rather cool. The video card is sweet, all images, videos and gaming looks amazing. (but really, you...

Really? Ok it's pricey, but all the garbage that PC users have learned to "live" with are not even after thoughts for Mac users. As a SYS ADMIN for many years on critical equipment, our number one problem has always been the windows OS. Our UNIX boxes...

Constant Issues

Be careful. Apple makes amazing products, but if there is the tiniest of scratches, they will find a way to not have to do anything about the machines primary issues.

The computer is blazing fast. Absolutely amazing machine. Great graphics, great processor, great ram, great hard drive, etc

It seldom works. I've had the machine replaced twice already. Once because the motherboard was faulty, once because the keyboard has died. Apple is refusing to replace it now that the keyboard has died. I've never had such issues with Apple Computers...

I Love it!!

First off I would like to say I'm in love with this computer. Second this is my second mac that I have ever owned.(first was about 10 years ago powerbook 500)

Pro cont. scroll, three finger foward and back in the browser, four finger up and down to bring windows in and out, and four fingers left and right for the task manager. And if you don't like it you can turn it off and use it like a normal mouse. If...

Decent but could be better for the price

The trackpad is very strange and takes a bit to get used to. I suppose its inovative, but it makes accurate, fast clicking almost impossible.

It looks nice and performs quite well. Thinner than most notebooks including the last generation of MacBooks. Best features:

It's price is really the biggest con...If you can part with the Mac signature, you can get a laptop that performs just as well for litterally a grand less.
