Apple MacBook Pro Retina 15 (Mid 2015) Review

Expensive pleasure. More performance, a new Force Touch TrackPad as well as longer battery runtimes are supposed to make the reworked MacBook Pro 15 even more appealing – and therefore justify a retail price far in excess of the 2000 Euros (~$2252)...

flawless aluminum chassis, triple-stream WLAN, 2x Thunderbolt, excellent input devices, great application performance, excellent display, silent with light workloads, long battery runtimes

only 2x USB 3.0, extremely high price, poor maintainability and upgradeability, limited Windows operation, only 12 months warranty

This time, we want to start our verdict with the negative aspects, and there are some despite the final rating of 88%. We cannot understand the decision to launch a device with Haswell processors at this time. The new quad-core CPUs from the Broadwell...

Apple MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2015) review

Apple's MacBook Air and Pro lines have remained steadfastly rock-solid in their look and feel for several generations. Each year brings a handful of tweaks and updates, typically only to internal components, from better hard drives to faster Wi-Fi to...

The 15-inch MacBook Pro has a brilliant Retina Display, powerful processor and new graphics card options, plus faster flash storage and a new Force Touch trackpad.

It offers only the most minimal upgrades over last year's version, despite a very high starting price. The new AMD graphics don't do much for gamers.

Current 15-inch MacBook Pro owners won't feel the need to upgrade, but the handful of tweaks included here keep this expensive system at the top of the list for powerful midsize laptops.

MacBook Pro with Retina Display (2015) Review

Strong graphics and CPU performance; Stunning Retina display; Attractive and slim design; Handy Force Touch features

Same ports and 4th-gen processors as 2014 model

With AMD graphics, an innovative Trackpad, nine hours of battery life and one of the fastest hard drives we've ever tested, the 2015 MacBook Pro is a force to be reckoned with.

15" Retina MacBook Pro (2015)

Apple's refresh of their portable big Mac, the 15 inch MacBook Pro with Retina display was minor if you're interested in the base model with integrated Intel Iris Pro graphics. But the next step up with dedicated graphics has piqued interest because...

Sleek and chic as ever, light and slim yet powerful. Excellent display, Force Touch trackpad

Very expensive! Dedicated graphics good for pro apps and some gaming, but it's not a gamer's laptop

The 15" Retina MacBook Pro isn't for everyone given the high price tag, and it's hard to deny that the "Mac tax" is alive and well here, while the 13" Retina MacBook Pro actually offers good value for the money. That said, it's one of the best put...
