Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display (13-inch)

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display outclasses Ultrabooks with a much sharper screen, faster performance and longer battery life.

Superb Retina display; Excellent overall performance; High-quality speakers; Comfortable keyboard and touchpad; Long battery life

Pricier than most ultraportables; Integrated graphics

Click to EnlargeThe 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display is a lot like the iPhone 5. Apple took a winning formula and perfected it by making it thinner, lighter and faster. But in this case the display isn't bigger. It's a quantum leap better than...

Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display (13.3-inch)

By adding a high-res Retina Display to a new 13-inch MacBook Pro, Apple has taken the odd man out of its MacBook line -- the previous 13-inch Pro -- and turned it into a sleek, modern laptop sitting at the midway point between slim ultrabook and...

The new 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display adds a screen that's nearly as high-res as the 15-inch version, making for incredibly crisp text and images. The slimmer body feels much more modern, and the excellent keyboard and trackpad remain.

Considering that this looks and feels a lot like the 13-inch MacBook Air, you may be in for a bit of sticker shock, especially as the base model only includes 128GB of SSD storage.

While the Retina MacBook Pro is easily the most desirable 13-inch Mac laptop to date, the high price and lack of discrete graphics make it a tough call versus either the more powerful 15-inch Retina Pro or the more affordable 13-inch Air.

"One word - Awesome!!"

This is my first macbook. I decided to go Apple after having an iPhone for a while and being completely satisfied. I recently purchased the 13" retina 8g ram & 256g hard drive model. It is an amazing machine. It is smooth, fluid, with no issues...

Ultra slim - robust build quality

The return key could be a little larger

- Retina Display

- Some apps not optimized for retina display (not Apple's fault)

"The most amazing computer I have ever used. Ever."

Definitely the greatest computers I have ever used. I bought a nice case for it, but I took it off because the computer looks great by itself. It's small, smaller than any other

Awesome Display

Not much really:

"Just purchased this laptop: best I've ever owned."

Overall, best laptop I've ever owned. The speed, screen resolution, security and battery life are tremendous. I am a heavy user and this laptop handles it and then some. Added bonus is the ability to sync across my phone,

Screen is gorgeous. SSD makes this laptop extraordinarily fast. Owned an SSD Lenovo prior to my MacBook and there is no comparison. Coming from a series of windows-based laptops, the security is top notch but not intrusive to my day-to-day use.

Had to buy Office for

"An all around great computer."

Okay... I admite there is some flaws, everything has flaws, but it is nothing that you cannot fix. A simple hard drive or a flash drive does make the problem go away. If only the terabyte flash drive was cheap! If you are looking for a work computer...

Battery life

Price (It went down to a more affordable $1499)

"Absolutely amazing."

I can run as many applications as I want with no drops in performance. I love the track pad gestures and dictation. Screen and speakers are great for media, Also love AirPlay. If you can afford it, it is well worth it if you need to run many intense...

Display (Of course)

Pretty expensive... okay... really really really really expensive.

"Do yourself a favor and Avoid buying this computer!"

I have only had troubles with this computer since I first opened its package.

USB port on both sides of the computer (did not have this on my old one).

Not enough GB! (Less than my old white MacBook, which means i could not back up all my documents) I do not understand how this computer can be called a MacBook "PRO"!
