Apple MacBook (black, Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard)

Introduced in the fall of 2006, the current version of Apple's 13-inch MacBook laptop was a revolutionary product, combining Intel's Core 2 Duo CPUs with Apple's much-lauded operating system. Add in Apple extras such as the iSight camera, Front Row...

Upgraded CPU for the same price; same great design; Leopard operating system.

Still no Express card or SD card slots; only more expensive models are available in black.

Apple has been content to issue minor periodic hardware updates to the 13-inch MacBook, but the modest performance gains and new Leopard OS keep it in our top tier of laptop recommendations.

"Former PC/Win Laptop User now MacBook Forever"

My only regret with this machine is that I waited so long to get it. Overall I am overjoyed with this laptop, and highly recommend it, especially for anyone unsatisfied with the current options for similar PC/Win laptops.

Performance; ease of use; smooth OS

Noisy optical drive

Reliable, FAST, extremely fast boot up, too many to list!

Screen isnt as crisp as I thought it would be

good build quality, stable and secure OS

too few USB ports, and too close together

"Very good but as usual has some flaws"

I currently own an iMac and was looking for a portable to take on the go. I was trying to decide between the XPS & the BlackBook and to be honest i haven't made a decision yet

OS X, Looks good, decent power under the hood

Can cut your wrists if not carful, no dedicated GPU, No LED screen

"When will I learn? PC's just can't compare to a MAC"

This is my 8th Mac and I must admit, it is a beauty. As I write this review using my MBP CD2 2.16, my Blackbook (Santa Rosa) is loading VM Ware's Fusion (so I can use XP and Ubuntu). I do not consider myself a power user but have very discriminating...

Quality build; scary fast; great screen; compact form factor; awesome keyboard

No Express Card 34 slot; no PCMCIA slot; no dedicated video
