Apple MacBook (white, Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard)

Introduced in the fall of 2006, the current version of Apple's 13-inch MacBook laptop was a revolutionary product, combining Intel's Core 2 Duo CPUs with Apple's much-lauded operating system. Add in Apple extras such as the iSight camera, Front Row...

Upgraded CPU for the same price; same great design; Leopard operating system.

Still no Express card or SD card slots; only more expensive models are available in black.

Apple has been content to issue minor periodic hardware updates to the 13-inch MacBook, but the modest performance gains and new Leopard OS keep it in our top tier of laptop recommendations.

"Once you go Mac you'll never go back"

Will never buy a PC again, the value for the dollar spent is far more worth it than that of a PC.

Very fast, never get "program not responding", shuts down in 7 seconds, turns on in 50, iLife '08 is amazing software that sells itself. Compatibility rarely an issue anymore.

SD slot would be nice, other than that no more cons

"Fantastic notebook"

I bought the mid-range model to get the superdrive, and added 4GB of RAM for a little over $100. RAM and hard drive upgrades are easy with this unit. Parallels allows me to run the Windows-only apps that kept me using a Dell Inspiron instead of being...

fast, long battery life, smooth case, OS X Leopard

I'd like a higher res, LED backlit display

"This is my favorite computer ever"

I love this thing. I bought this laptop with a 250gb hard drive and 2gb ram after being a pc user forever. This laptop is unbelievable. It is faster than 90% of people's desktops. I'll tell you mac's leopard is incredibly fast and so easy. After...

Blazing fast, burns my old desktop; not even close. The ease of use is unbelievable

"Another Hit from Apple"

Once again, Apple struck! The MacBook is an amazing product.

Performance, design, price

"So far so good..."

I just received it today 11/9. I couldn't wait any longer. I finally gave into getting a mac after using windows exclusively. After waiting for leopard to release and then hearing rumors of macbook upgrades, I was getting antsy. It was finally...

The looks. Leopard. Speed.

The heat. White keys and white trackpad, it's only been a couple hours and my fingerprint are noticeable, and yes my hands are clean.

Apple MacBook White 2010 review

With a lower price point and better performance, the latest MacBook White represents the best value-for-money from Apple.

Faster processor; improved graphics; better battery life

Still no SD card slot; might be time for Apple to switch to 16:9 aspect ratio displays

Apple slightly revamps its basic MacBook with improvements under the hood, but keeps the design and price the same, which makes the new MacBook tough to beat as a back-to-school laptop.

With a new design and integrated battery, the latest MacBook promises a long battery life along with a slightly more portable form factor.

What the hell, cnet. NO PLEASE NO BLOODY 16:9 screens. not on the mac. if all you want to do is watch movies, by all means, but if you're even thinking about actually doing anything with your notebook, shut the hell up about the 16:9.You do realise...

Knock 300 bucks off the price of a MBP

Still no budget ultraportable from apple

"True value for money"

I bet Apple would sell much more Macbooks if they offered it in both Black and White like they used to. Still, it's a great value buy. There isn't another non-low voltage cpu laptop with pretty alright gfx that can offer 10hrs of battery life. It's in...

Best value for it's processor/graphics/battery life combo

No SD Card reader, weak webcam
