MBP 2.5Ghz

The 15" model is just as good as the 17" model. If I were you guys, the 15" has the updated look to it. The performance is near the same and the picture quality is amazing. The $300 jump for 2 extra inches in my opinion is not worth the money, but I...

I have owned this machine since September and I have not had one major problem with it yet. It runs great, responds very well, and is a all around great laptop to have. The picture quality is amazing, the multi-touch actions come in handy (once you...

The Caps Lock key is sometimes difficult because the button of the key is on the left side and its a longer key, so you have to watch where you put your finger. The computer can also get REALLY hot. I advise to not to do too much extreme gaming while...

Mac vrs Vaio 3 gig pentium processor

Mac is pretty cheaply made. We will see how long it will last when under high usage. It is heavier than my old PC Laptop. I always thought that Mac included all the programs you needed to do your work. But I am finding that it does not include...

Nice design as far as looks go. Some nice features as far as the key board lighting up at night or under low light. I also like the power supply quick disconnect that is used. But the power supply does leave a little to be desired ; I also like that...

Flimsy feeling the case feels like it will dent easy. The material is thin and gives when picking it up. It makes you feel like it will dent or bend. A real pain to set up for the internet. Slow It takes it 4 times longer than my old laptop that is...

Great Processor w/ GPU

My 15.4" is a fantastic machine, I purchased refurbished from Apple and am satisfied. As for the four stars? Its opinion, the jittery GPU is annoying, the backlit always on in XP is annoying, the audible hard drive is annoying and the 1440x900 is...

Great CPU, the 2.5GHz CPU has 6MB L2 and 800MHz FSB (the 2.4GHz has 3MB L2) ; Great GPU 8600M GT, a bit dated, has DDR3 memory at 512MB ; Hardware Audio Processor ; Backlit keyboard ; Great anti-aliasing and anistrophic filtering performance ; These...

Odd resolution weirds out some games ; Apple hasn't provided a way to shut off the backlit keyboard in Windows ; Often times jittery when GPU memory is clearing, especially with hardware audio processer enabled in game ; I can hear the Fuijitsu hard...

Awesome buy

I've used Linux and Windows based PCs for the last 16 years. Converting to Apple isn't as hard as people make it out to be. There are some differences in the keyboard shortcuts but keep an open mind when learning.

Everything about this laptop is top notch. From other reviews I read before I purchased, this mac book actually doesn't get that hot. I was thinking of getting some kind of heat diffuser for my lap and I am glad I waited because I don't need it.

The size. I'm a full time student, so I need a case that will hold my books and this mac book. And so far I haven't found one I like. There hasn't been a big selection online or in retail stores for 17in laptops. Also, if you're a wifi user in cafes or...

Absolutely 100% perfect! Sophisticated architecture coupled with simplicity of design at its best.

The school my seven year old daughter attends trains the students on pc's. I was truly amazed when she simply navigated around the Mac like she was using for years.

Mac Book Pro's high performance architecture housed in elegantly designed strong aluminum case lives up to all its specifications and then some. The lighted keyboard is a plus and feels very natural to the touch. It is a real pleasure working in the...

The reviews I read mentioned the Mac Book runs a little warm. Because I leave it on pretty much 24/7 I bought a notebook cooler (ZM-NC2000). With the cooler on low the Mac Book Doesn't even get warm. Installing 4 GB of ram is simple and is worth the...

Top Notch Machine

I have yet to see the OS X operating system crash. Unlike Windows "Blue Screen of Death" which completely restarts the computer, OS X will force quit the application only. Applications will crash regardless of what operating system you use; however,...

I am an IT professional and have been using PCs for over 22 years. This is my first Mac and I am now converted. To sum it up: it just works and everything makes sense. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks. One of the biggest fears about...

The MBP does get warm ; however, the Penryn processor that this model comes with is built on the 45nm core opposed to the 65nm core of its predecessor. This means that it uses less power and produces less heat. Even though I love this Mac it is hard to...

What A Computer, Amassing Job 

I would recommend this slice of heaven to someone who would like to take the power of a Mac Pro (desktop) with them, where ever they go. If you are a graphic designer, very busy business man, collage student with a lot of term papers to write, or a...

The 17" MacBook Pro from Apple has to be one of their best computers ever (so far). It has a fast and quiet cooling system, hard disk, and leopard OS X 10.5 works beautifully on the 17" high-res screen, along with the DVD burner and 250 GB HDD. Plus,...

The only one I can think of is it will get a little worm when you are using it while it's charging.
