Review Apple MacBook Air 11 inch Mid 2013 1.7 GHz 256 GB Subnotebook

Tough choice. You want to buy one of the new MacBook Air models? Good, so you have already made your decision. But some agonizing questions remain: i5 CPU or the more powerful i7 chip? 128 GB SSD or even the 256 GB drive? Our review should give you...

Compact and mobile build, weighs only about 1000 grams (~2.2 lbs) ; Aluminum unibody case very pleasant to the touch ; USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt ; Very good input devices ; Very good application performance ; Increased graphics performance ; Very good...

No SD card slot ; "Only" HD resolution ; Almost zero expandability or accessibility for maintenance

The eternal temptation with Apple to spend more money than we planned despite the small benefits

Apple MacBook Air 11-inch (Mid 2013)

The Apple MacBook Air 11-inch (Mid 2013) is the Haswell updated version of the iconic ultraportable laptop. It lasts over 10 hours running on battery power, so it's a highly recommended choice if you must have the thinnest possible laptop with the most...

Great battery life. Thin. Light. Fourth Generation Intel Core processor. Bright screen. Nice multi-touch trackpad. Backlit keyboard. Thunderbolt port. Dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi

1,366 by 768 resolution. No SD slot. No Ethernet nor HDMI

The Apple MacBook Air 11-inch (Mid 2013) ($999 list) is the latest iteration of Apple's ultraportable laptop. It retains all of the features that MacBook Air fans have grown to expect, though there are a few facets that are starting to seem dull and...

Apple MacBook Air (11-inch, June 2013)

We're living in a post-iPad age for PCs. Excellent battery life and supremely portable forms sometimes make me ask: why use a laptop, which has subpar battery life, at all? Why not just get things done on a tablet instead?

The new 11-inch MacBook Air manages a phenomenal 10-plus-hour battery life; base $999 model finally has 128GB SSD; still compact and comfortable to use.

New CPUs don’t really boost performance over last year’s Air; still lacking SD card slot; 11-inch display’s not as high-res as competitors'.

Apple’s new 11-inch Air goes a conservative route in 2013, emphasizing longer battery life and more affordable pricing over any big design changes. The battery boost alone might be worth it.

11-inch MacBook Air review: living with Apple's smallest laptop

Note: be sure to read our 13-inch MacBook Air review for lots more on Apple's latest laptops.

Great battery life ; Stellar keyboard and trackpad ; Tiny

Screen is becoming outdated ; No SD card slot ; Smallish trackpad

Small is good, but bigger is better

Lab Tested: CTO 11-inch MacBook Air an impressive performer

While the MacBook Air improvements are mostly subtle, they succeed in making an already excellent product even more desirable.

Much improved battery life ; Improved flash storage and graphics performance

4GB of RAM is less generous than other non-upgradable Macs ; 128GB storage may be too small for some

Apple’s new MacBook Air range is being marketed by the company for its outstanding claimed battery life. Apple is also touting faster flash memory, new 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity as well as the new found graphics prowess of Intel’s fourth-generation

MacBook Air 11" 2013 Review: From a Windows Perspective

Apple has seen a healthy boost in computer sales and adoption since the transition to Intel-based platforms in 2006, but the MacBook line has far and away been the biggest benefactor. Apple has come a long way both from an engineering standpoint and...

Apple MacBook Air 11in (Mid-2013) review

The 11.6-inch display may be a little too small for some people, but – speaking as a satisfied owner of the 2011 edition – it's the weight that really clinches the argument for me.

We were worried about that 1.3 GHz clock speed at first, but the Haswell processor proves more than a match for its faster-looking Ivy Bridge predecessor while nearly a day’s battery life. Combine that performance with the MacBook Air’s lightweight,...
