Because of the Sandy Bridge chipset defect, the release of comparable laptops is lagging. The successors to high-end notebooks like the Sony VAIO VPC-Z13Z9E or HP Envy 15 will make for some good competition once released.

Excellent Design and Craftsmanship; Outstandingly Sturdy Case with Nice Feel; Decent Trackpad; Thunderbolt Port Ensures Future Compatibility; Good Weight for its Class; Office and Multimedia Performance; Battery Life and Power Consumption

High Starting Price; Reflective Screen Restricts On-The-Go Use; Short 12-Month Warranty; Few Accessories; Non-Removable Battery

Two big considerations make us lean in favor of investing in the matte screen model: First, if you're planning to use the MacBook Pro for several hours every day, consider that glossy screens strain the eyes more. Second, using the laptop on the go,...

Good buy

I got this to get back into using a Mac after years of being a PC user. It arrived in pretty good shape except for a slight dent in the lower left corner. It ended up being a good platform to upgrade. Upgraded OS to Maverick, memory to 16 GB, and added...

Bad Logic Board

The hard drive wasn't wiped when I received it; had to do a clean install so it wouldn't prompt for the previous owner's password.

Decent physical shape

Logic board arrived with issues; wifi card would show up temporarily at random times then disappear from the system profile, keyboard backlight wouldn't work all of the time, display issues, etc.
