ASUS' A8Jm Core Duo laptop reviewed

According to Notebook Review, ASUS' 14.1-inch A8Jm Core Duo-powered laptop is a powerful, feature-filled machine that provides good value for its $1,550 pricetag -- but you also have to factor the cost of potential Geek Squad service calls into that...

Asus A8Js Review (pics, specs)

I bought this laptop because my old laptop, a Compaq Presario 2500 (Pentium 4 2.8Ghz, 512MB), was very unstable and could not handle two programs at once.  Specifically, when I had a video chat session going with my girlfriend and a browser running at...

Powerful processing/gaming performance ; Beautiful screen ; Multitude of ports ; Useful Asus utilities ; Useful extras (router and carrying case)

Unremarkable battery life ; No Bluetooth

This is a laptop where it’s hard to go wrong.  My one complaint would be the battery life, but for the price and the feature set it’s a small complaint among many praises.  This laptop is exactly what I was looking for and it should last me on through...

Asus A8Jm Review (pics, specs)

The Asus A8Jm is a 14.1" widescreen notebook using the Intel Core Duo processor. The A8Jm comes with an nVidia Go 7600 graphics card, built-in web cam, glossy screen and a very generous selection of ports for this sized notebook.

ASUS A8Js 14inch Widescreen Notebook

ASUS has a new notebook offering that is sure to please most. It includes a fast T7200 processor, NVIDIA 7700 Go graphics card and 1GB of ram. It's also very competitively priced at just under $1,500. Is it worth your consideration?

I have been using the A8Js for a couple weeks now and don't have any major complaints. For all that is offered, the retail price of $1450 - $1500 is quite reasonable. On this page, I will touch on things that I like and also dislike about the notebook...

Best 14" gaming laptop

Excellent performance, for both processor and video card.

The battery life is only two or three hours, which by todays standards isn't great.

Excellent Laptop for the Price

I love Asus mobo's so I thought I would give this laptop a shot.

I would have prefered the processor be an AMD dual core but at least the INTEL can be upgraded later on.

A decent "gaming" laptop

I bought this mainly for the Geforce go 7700.

The screen is not that good.
