Asus C201 Chromebook review: A solid Chromebook with great battery life

It has its weak points, but the Asus C201 is ideal for life on the move thanks to its incredible battery life

There’s a huge amount of choice if you’re looking to spend £200 on a laptop. Never mind Chromebooks such as the HP Chromebook 11, you should also consider the Windows-powered Toshiba Satellite C40-C and HP Stream 11.

For $200 this thing rocks! Plenty of processing power and memory! Can RDP, view .eml files, there is an app to do just about anything!

-Easy config (well no much config to do) -Fast boot -Link up with google account so everything is syncro (with android or google chrome) -Very good autonomy (+/- 13 hrs) -Very light (2lbs) I bought this Chromebook for my wife for his school homework...

Great Chromebook

Still not a PC but for only web browsing it is awesome and I have notice that more and more apps are starting to support the Chromebook.

My wife is using her Chromebook on a daily base in the class room and it is perfect. It is small and light so its easy to cary around and the battery will last for two-three the hole days. Since it is not running anything in the background and shuts...

Great Product! Easy to Setup and Use!

I'm a web developer and I often have a dozen tabs open, with no lag issues.

- Low price - Great battery - No Microsoft tax - Perfect for web browsing, which is about 99% of use case nowadays.

- Android compatibility is still in the work (beta) but not yet fully available.

ASUS C201PA-DS01

This replaced an Acer C720, so not my first chromebook. I mostly love it, aside from the power cord issue. If left at a desk, I doubt any of the concerns would be noticed, but to me a small chromebook is supposed to be a go anywhere, on the couch, ect....

Light, fast, does what I need. Long battery life, very useful with its power cord issues(see cons)

In the quest to make it thinner, it has smaller SD, HDMI, and power jacks. The SD and HDMI are minor inconveniences, but the smaller, almost USB like power jack is a weak spot. The tip of the power cord is easily susceptible to bending if the computer...
