Review: ASUS 1015 PEM Best Dual Core Netbook of 2010

The ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM rises to the top as one of the best Netbooks on the market. Its got a sleek and slim profile that is inline with the Seashell lineup of Eee PCs. The attention to detail in design makes it rise to the top like cream, this is the...

ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM Reviewed

LaptopMag has a review up for the ASUS's latest dual core 10-inch Atom N550 netbook – the ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM. The chassis is nothing new, we've seen it before multiple times with a soft touch matte lid that's decent at hiding fingerprints. The...

Asus Eee PC Seashell 1015PEM review

The tapered matte black (or blue, or red or white) case of the Eee PC 1015PEM not only shows far fewer fingerprints than its glossy 1005PE predecessor; it also conceals an unusually feature-packed netbook, for much the same price. The dual-core Atom...

State of the art for netbooks, the dual-core Atom speeds up apps when you do several things at once, USB 3 is a definite speed up, the battery life is good and the matte screen has excellent viewing angles and no glare

The case size means the keyboard is cramped and the screen resolution is frankly disappointing, plus the video performance isn’t really up to 720p video

A dual core Atom isn’t quite as impressive as you might expect, and we’d like to see faster graphics paired with it to improve the HD video performance. And while they keep the price low, the relatively slow hard drive and small amount of memory don’t...

Really Good for everything

I have a bad temper, actually Punched through the LED Display and then smashed it on the ground and stomped it one good time due to Work related stress (Customer Support). Only thing left was the Motherboard. I totally rebuilt it with used parts and I...

I purchased one of these off Newegg in 2011...After owning the older atom 1.66GHz 1001p DDR2 model I had to upgrade to the Newer Atom with HyperThreading and DDR3. I purchased a 2GB SODIMM and a 180GB Intel 335 SSD and let me tell you the performance...

2GB MAX...not sure why but that is the only Con if any. Not a big issue though

Great little computer

Bought it for my wife 2 years ago. This thing is great! It's had fantastic battery life and produces little heat. Surprisingly fast for a netbook; the second core makes a huge difference!

keyboard is a bit small, and there isn't a way to reinstall windows if the hard drive breaks or you want to replace it.

Not What i expected from Asus

I generally love Asus, I buy their boards, monitors and other products. They are a good company, but this model had too many issues. I bought 2 of these and they both had a cheap feel, and a weak build.

- great design - worked okay while it lasted

- nonstop hardware issues - it was exchanged twice - very slow for 2010 - not worth the price

This product needs help!

Sooo Slow! First I upgraded to Windows 7, thinking that would help. But then I realized it only has 1 GB of RAM, so today I am getting another GB. Hopefully that will help. But now with money invested I could have gotten a more expensive netbook.

Lame so far

I bought this because it's so small. It is very quiet, but also very slow. I didn't realize it had no CD slot. I spent hours trying to contact ASUS. Had to contact my printer maker to load a driver for the ASUS. I'm sorry I bought it. Good for a child.
